The food arrived very very quickly, and was extremely good. I was impressed with how busy they were. Easy to access from highway 5. The price was also very decent. They need to post that on there because there are people who can't eat them...aka, my grandma. She could have ended up in the hospital if I wouldn't have started eating my burrito before her and found out that they were in there in time to warn her.”

“Wonderful dining experience. Came in close to closing but entire staff was very gracious and friendly. Ordered a variety of apps and the chicken fettuccine and everything came out hot and fresh in 15 min. Marinara sauce was phenomenal as was the fettuccine. The wings were also delicious. “First time visit. I was very impressed with the menu and the items my party and I ordered. I had the prime rib and it was one of the best I have had. My counterpart ordered the fried lobster tail. She loved it and yes I tried it and loved it too. Prior to the main entree we ordered the calamari. It was served as a filet and not like you normally see it in a restaurant setting. It too was top notch quality. One unique piece to this restaurant is their progressive menu. They have an entire section of the menu that they change every three months. This part of the menu is not listed on their website but it has a very broad selection in it. I would have loved to try several on that menu but it will be retired over the next week and a new menu will be added on the progressive side. The main menu does not change and that is what you will find on the website. I highly recommend this establishment and will be back again soon. The wait staff was very professional and very attentive. The pricing is in line with the quality but be prepared to pay for your top notch experience.”

“In my top 5 places to eat at The Lake of the Ozarks. #1 place for burgers and The Chick Chicken (I think that's still the name)...Dave has some of the most creative, flavorful Burgers at the lake. My favorite part about Taboo, Dave brings out free food, lol. He's like "here try this" but better than that, Dave always interacts with his guests. It makes you feel comfortable and in a positive environment. Add excellent food and drinks some live entertainment and you have a great business on the West side of the Lake of the Ozarks. The prices can't be beat for the amount of food that is served. How big of a burger can you eat??? I bet Dave will make it. Besides Sonic there isn't much open at night in Laurie to get a quick bite to eat, thankfully we have Taboo. Since they have opened I have had every burger on the menu at least once. Some several times over. O and don't forget about the fried oysters....they definitely on the my list of the must try places to eat at Lake of the Ozarks”

The service was a bit slow (to be fair we were on the bar side and the dining room side was busy) but our server Betty was fantastic! When we were ready for our bill and it wasn't ready yet she told us to get another drink! We LOVE that kind of humor! The hamburger soup was delicious (owner wouldn't give me the recipe but I would trade him my secret chicken wild rice soup recipe if he changes his mind ????) i ordered the smothered chicken and I could die the first bite. So good! Hubby got fried chicken and there was so much my Jarhead needed a to-go box! Seriously, if you want laid back, comfortable, amazing food and drinks... Chances R is the place you need to be!”
