“my second time here the first time was not great. However this time I have to admit the chicken was absolutely delicious. Much better than last time. also I really enjoyed it because they were open light and no place else around here was open that night. I was surprised at how good the coleslaw was. “I LOVE THIS PLACE! We found it a few weekends ago. We pass by the place all the time (the outside does not do it justice!) and we finally stopped in. THE FOOD IS CRAZY GOOD! I could go on and on about how tasty it is, about how full I am when I leave, but the best part about this place is the staff. The lady who bartended/waited on us was absolutely a treat! She was warm and friendly, told us about how this is the second oldest bar in St. Charles, gave some history on the place and told us about how awesome it is to work for the owners. She was just lovely. We came back the following weekend with our kids and she was so sweet to them and her suggestions for food to try was spot on. We will be back. Lots of times. (The crappie was amazing, get a vanilla porter to go with it!)”

So is the service and if you go past this place to the other building which serves tacos and chicken.... you won't get the same taste, quality or service. Don't blame me you made your choice. They handled: food, serving, cleaning tables, booster seats, setting tables, beer and wine bar service, napkins, plates, silverware, cups, etc. We had a very small budget, and they worked within our limits to give us affordable options and accommodate all of our needs. Gary and his team are fantastic, and they worked very hard to make our wedding run smoothly. The food was AMAZING, and we heard nothing but positive compliments about everything that they did for us. A book on their shelf was one that my friend had recommended to me, a picture was by the same artist they love and the piano was what they would play. “Great atmosphere...the bartender was very attentive, it was our 1st visit. I can’t help but order eggplant everywhere I go. I love it, and don’t ever take the time to make it because it is so time consuming. I ordered the Trout Almondine w/a side of eggplant and was not impressed at all. The bartender said that people love it, so I thought it was going to be great. Fish wasn’t very good, dry and flavorless and I didn’t care for the eggplant at all.....the batter or breading had no flavor...seasoning. The breaded artichokes were the best part of the meal.”
