“Had a great night. Went for our anniversary dinner. 30 minute wait at 5pm; but got longer as night went on so get there early! Staff was friendly and food was very good. Didn’t feel rushed even though they were really busy. The vibe is old school Hollywood meets the 60s. Think Rat Pack, Elvis and the Sopranos. Definitely going back to try more food! A+ from us 👍”

“Walked in and was treated like family. It was pretty busy but it didn't take me long to understand why, service was amazing! Food was out of this world! I could tell our server was busy but she still made us feel like we were her only party. Everyone, from the bartender, manager, and servers were so awesome with us! 100% know where to call ahead for a party or just come in to catch a game over lunch.”

“First time at this Black Owned Establishment and I tried the Shrimp Tacos(the mango salsa that comes with it is AMAZING) and the Long Story Smoothie!! The meal is very filling and they even use paper straws😁😁. Free WiFi is available and multiple daily discounts. I'll definitely be coming back to try EVERYTHING on the menu!! I love a great 1st time experience and above average customer service!”

“Chose to eat here at a time that was not busy. There was a party of 4 on the patio, 2 at the bar, and 2 of us. We ordered our drinks, which came quickly. We expected to have our food orders taken, but we had to grab the server's attention to place our order. We ordered the poutine, which was AMAZING. The appetizer portion is huge! We added the brisket on top, and it really was delicious. For my late lunch, I ordered a single burger with slaw. The burger was very tasty and all fresh beef. The slaw was not my style; however, is tasty if you like vinegar. I asked for ranch on the side and was given blue cheese. Luckily, I like blue cheese. For my drink, I ordered a mule, which was refreshing. We did have to ask for our check. While the server was friendly, it definitely knocked a star off to have to ask to order and ask to pay. The owner was friendly, and I'm excited to see what he does with the patio in the spring.”

“Amazing morning shift manager! She got hit with about 7 cars immediately at open (we were all waiting in line), and she handled it all with a cool, smooth, confident professionalism that was wonderful to see. She was welcoming and friendly, gave honest information about time for food to be ready, and I could hear her encouraging and praising her crew for their hard work. It's nice to see a manager being a leader, and not a boss. I'm ashamed to say I can't remember her name, but it think it was Linda or Angela. Anyway, thanks for an amazingly perfect breakfast. Food was piping hot and super fresh, neatly put together, and the kitchen was on their game. Well done! We'll be making this location a regular stop when we're travelling to and from the city.”

“This restaurant is easy to pass up as the outside is not particularly eye catching, but trust me when I say, bring some cash and go! WOW-- we loved Burkemper's. The coffee was perfect and constantly flowing, the service was just the right balance of fast and friendly, and the food was so authentically greasy spoon that I had to check and make sure my grandma wasn't in the kitchen. Not to mention the price... $25 for two huge breakfasts and endless coffee is definitely worth it for us. We can't wait to go back and try more menu items!”

“Hands down one of the best places to eat in all of St. Louis! Their corned beef and cabbage is second to none. The meat is juicy and tender, the cabbage is just right-not slimy or undercooked. It is to die for! I've had their beef stew and it was incredible, but keep coming back for the corned beef and cabbage. They have a great drink selection and while they are often crazy busy on the weekends, are a great place for a date. The waitstaff are super friendly and know their stuff. You can ask them anything about the food or drinks and they have suggestions and fun facts for all of it. We will be back for sure. GET THE CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE you will love it!”
