TLDR; Good food, but significant issues in other aspects.
This an interesting place. On the one hand, the food, ostensibly the point of a restaurant was very good. On the other hand, there were multiple issues with the other aspects of the restaurant experience. It was full when my wife and I went, and was loud enough as to make conversation difficult. Secondly, the menu is a bit difficult to decipher. The first section was most comparable to appetizers, but instead of descriptions, there are what can be best described as ingredient lists. It is difficult to know what form those ingredients come in. Also, and this is a biggie: if your patrons order dips, bread should be included. Don't charge $3.00 for bread with dips. We're not going to eat it with a freaking spoon. Lastly, the service was mediocre, at best. As I said, the restaurant was full, but I was as server for three years, and can say with some confidence that I would want to see better in my own restaurant.
This was my first time here and I will definitely come back! My date and I split the lamb meatballs and the charred carrots. The carrots were the best carrots I’ve had and the harissa yogurt sauce was so delicious! The server was very attentive and friendly. Next time I’d like to stop in for a cocktail because the bar was so nice!
Great À la carte style restaurant! My girlfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderfully relaxing evening. The only complaint I really have is the size of the tables, we chose to sit outside where the tables are smaller and a full meal takes up 90 percent of the table's real estate. However this makes their Mint Tea even better since the Full Kettle of tea came with it's own table. We just began using for this for the drinks and had plenty of room. Will be returning just for that tea.
Amazing! We did Benevolent King's happy hour a couple weeks ago and was really impressed by their cocktails and salatim platter, so we decided to come back to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
We were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were perfectly balanced, and the service was impeccable. lsaac, our server, is also the general manager and was so pleasant and made our night really special.
We will definitely be back. Yum.
Excellent meal, friendly and knowledgeable service. Great date night ambiance. We will certainly return for another visit!
