“Today was the Grand Opening and I was super excited to try as I’ve been following their social media and everything has looked good. I was not prepared for how busy it was going to be, but after a 15 minute wait we were seated. Our waitress was super polite and took our food order and quickly brought our beverages. After that things went downhill. We waited over an hour for our food. Our waitress did update us that things were taking a while but sheesh! When we finally got our food it looked good but everything was room temp. We ordered chicken and waffles (3wings) scrambled eggs, lyonnaise potatoes, grits and salmon croquettes. The chicken lacked seasoning, not even basic salt and pepper. The waffle was cold and had no butter or syrup accompanying it. I didn’t eat it. The croquettes were mushy and didn’t really have any veggies or seasoning. The scrambled eggs, grits and potatoes were the only things that were warm and they were flavorful. It’s sad because everything LOOKED so good. It smelled good in the establishment as well. And the music was on point! Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing.”

“Food is usually pretty good although not consistent, staff is okay although not always that pleasant, they had 1 good waitress that used to be there everyday but I haven't seen her there lately I think its safe to say most regulars probably miss her, she was the only friendly person there. I dined there today and they were out of fries, things happen but tell me something better than "yeah, no fries till the truck gets here", the other waitress always let us down easy if they were out of something. Will definitely come back but smiling needs to be in the training. I hope someone sees this and tells the staff or brings the waitress that used to be there back!”

“I just ordered on grubhub and tried to review on there but it wouldn’t work. But let me tell y’all this food is soooo bomb! The baked me on pepper wings cooked to perfection and not dried out, the tripe was tasty and tender and I recommend getting extra crispy unless you eat in (if it’s an option), and I’m super appreciative of the extra soda and the cheesecake!!! My family will be ordering again.”

“This was in 2015 and my aunt had died so we decided to support a black owned business. This is Celebrity Soul Food place. Wee called far in advance to notify them that we had a large group coming in. My cousin, her husband, my mom and siblings had to pay over $100 for the buffet. Everyone in our party also paid over $100. So they made well over $1000 or more from our business alone. The food was good and tasty and the owner was a little rude in the beginning but the waitresses were really nice helpful and courteous. We also had to pay extra for the dessert because we were told while we were eating that it was not included in our all you can eat buffet meal. In my opinion that shouldn't have been the owners response to us due to the large amount of money he made off of our business. As my huge family and I proceeded to talk to one another, the owner and waitresses started to rush us out. One waitress whispered to us that a convention was in town. Well in my opinion, we should have been informed about it prior to us being seated.”

“My fu yung was good and hot. Quick friendly service. My only complaint was that the gravy was a bit thin and I'd order extra the next time. But for the price of a burger and fries I got enough for 3 meals, so good price too.”
