“Every bite of everything here was amazing, as were the cocktails. Is it more expensive than your average taco joint? Absolutely. But, you get what you pay for, and in this case that means heavily elevated tacos and Mexican fare. There’s really no comparison I’ve found in STL. This may not be a replacement for your favorite Mexican restaurant, but it is a great way to celebrate a small milestone or a long week at the office.”

“Shabu Day is an excellent spot ! Especially if you and your friends want a flavorful, enjoyable meal. The staff are great a being available to help, giving tips and providing anything else you may need. Price is on target with what you get and it’s incredibly filling. Perfect for 1:1 fun date or if you have a group of friends: With the development of the Costco plaza, I hope this location becomes even more successful so they can expand and add a larger variety of ingredients (like rice noodles and lamb) / drinks (like sake or plum wine) to their menu. I will continue supporting them by going their and recommending them to everyone. Excellent Hot Pot Spot ! Go it’s 100% worth it. Great addition to the area and community !”

“Had a great time with some friends on their patio. The inside looks really pretty, like you're on vacation. Our server was great at explaining everything on the menu. Margaritas were top notch and the best I've ever had - not sickeningly sweet. Started off with the nachos and queso dip - yum! We had some of their Mexico City costra tacos which are in cheese. We've never had anything like it and can't wait to go back!”

“place was great! You can pay to park out front at a meter. I chose side street parking (there was plenty of both). Inside: got the classic 1/2 pound bean burger which came with a salad, I also had 2 spring rolls. Water was some sort of hibiscus infused something or other. All the food was great, sauce that came w the rolls was good too. The burger was delicious, and no it did not taste like a real meat burger, as no vegan burgers do, regardless it tasted great and was much better than several veggie or bean burgers I have had in the past. Everything together with tip was $28, I think the burger and salad was $13. Oh yeah, waiter guy was super helpful, attentive, and a genuinely pleasant human - he seemed to enjoy working there as well which is certainly always helpful. Enjoy your lunch!”

“Anything and everything is outstanding here...so fresh and unique. Perfect portion sizes. From baked goods at the counter, to unique coffees to delicious menu items, everything is perfect. You can't go wrong here. Outdoor seating is quite nice as is the clean casual interior. And a very attentive wait staff... I'll definitely be back”

“A female black owned business woman what an inspiration. The women at the counter was really nice and observant. My sister seemed cold and she asked if she needed her to adjust the temp. The owner was pleasant also. I ordered lobster tail, 6 jumbo shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. I substituted the sausage for an egg. The portion size was fair for the price but, at the price of $25 plus tax plus the you would think a drink or a slice of pie came with that. The sauce was great, nothing was overly seasoned. Could not eat the eggs they were too rubbery. So for what it was, time spent with my sisters in a peaceful, friendly and black owner establishment it was good.”

“I love this place. Best dishes: 1) Peking duck, 2) Pea Tips in Chicken Broth, 3) Lion's Head Meatball (for 1), 4) Pork Soup Dumplings. I've had everything on the menu though and whether you are new or an aficionado to Chinese cuisine, you'll find something to please your palate here. BYOB is a definite plus - they do have wine and beer if don't want to bring your own.”

“Incredible food. Had the chicken and the beef and both were phenomenal (though I recommend the chicken over the beef.) Service was fast and the price is very reasonable.”

“I dont know if it was because we were very hungry, but this is some of the best pasta I've had in a very long time! My daughter commented the only problem is the food is too hot and too good. FYI -Sunday kids eat free. This is a local chain of restaurants so if you're in the area look this up. It's good for families or anyone. Our server was a nice guy. I thought the bookshelf in the waiting area was interesting. Wine and appetizers although delicious may become pricey. I thought the food was priced great for the quality and portion size. Wonderful place to eat.”

“This is place is closer to traditional Cantonese cuisine but it’s not Chao Zhou (another ethnic group in East Canton) as advertised. The waitress (and owner) lady was nice to me because I also speak Cantonese, but otherwise I could see how she might be seen as rude to others. You would need to understand that this is a family-run business and things are pretty laid back. That means the waitress won’t be super enthusiastic and check in on you frequently. Perhaps that’s how traditional Cantonese restaurants operate. That being said, the food was legit and recommended.”

“Good food. Not the usual cantonese style. Hot pot is also available. Problem for non chinese clients is communication with the server.”
