Eggs Benedict with pork belly and cornbread was great. Perfect poached eggs. Crispy fried potatoes. And they serve Sump coffee. Also, service was very friendly and welcoming.

This place was recommended by a friend who definitely knew what they were talking about. We got there just a bit before actual opening time, yet we're welcomed inside for to impending rain. This allowed us to peruse the menu and ask questions. I ordered the cornbread Benedict with smoked pork belly, while my partner ordered the brisket grits with salsa Verde. Both were absolutely fabulous. The owner, as well as his staff, were all friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back and have already made recommendations to friends.

Really good local breakfast place. The service was excellent. The food was both specialized and still reminded me of home cooking. I forgot to order my eggs well done and they insisted on making me new ones even though it was my mistake. Very nice experience.

Wow! Had the Cornbread Benedict. This wasn't just awesome, it was more "did I die and go to heaven?" good. Hands down the best eggs Benedict ever. The mix of flavors was incredible - sweet cornbread, a 1/2" thick slice of avocado, sweet onions, potatoes, and something amazing with the sauce. First time being here and can't wait to bring people back.

Hidden gem! You gotta try this place. Excellent food, locally sourced, delicious combinations. Try something you’ve never had before...you won’t be disappointed.

UPDATE: It was SO good that I went back today (the next day) before leaving St Louis. I had the Pork Belly Benedict. Superb! It was amazing. Everything cooked perfectly...from the poached eggs to the crispy small-cut potatoes. And the cornbread...it’s exceptional. They use a more dense, Aztec cornmeal that is full of flavor and texture. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the perfect compliment. Kudos to Faisal and his staff for an outstanding dining experience! I’d recommend Egg as THE BREAKFAST PLACE in St. Louis.
