The entrees on the menu are good, but not fantastic, as you can see the photos, pork chop and scallops.
The special appetizers they write on the board are more special, as you can see the octopus and sweet bread.
The dessert is quite creative. The one we ordered is berries with angel cake and yogurt ice cream.
Wonderful Dinner! Absolutely incredible food! Service is excellent. Rich was our server and did a wonderful job!
Thirty years ago, I had a college graduation party at Sydney Street Cafe and returned with my family for dinner and was so pleasantly surprised! We just didn’t know what to expect so many years later. The service, the food, the atmosphere - everything was perfect! They even still serve the house-made beignets- YUM! Our server, Leslie, knew every single detail about all the dishes and was super friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed every single bite and we will definitely return! Thank you for being such a solid and consistent establishment!
It's been about 10 yrs since we last had dinner at Sidney Street (we didn't stop going because of the food or the service, we just got caught up in life). We decided to have dinner there for our anniversary this year. The food is simple and elegant. The flavors are very well joined together. The food was simply amazing. We were in Paris recently and bought back a bottle of wine which we took with us for dinner. Our server Megan was very familiar with our wine. She kept our glasses full and explained each dish with such precision without missing a beat. As she described each dish you could almost taste each dish purely by her description. The whole experience of Sidney Street was very much classic elegance with a simplicity that is out of this world. I would highly recommend Sidney Street.
We have been here twice now, and the first time was remarkable. The second time was, forgive me for the term, transcendent. Quite likely the best food experience of my life. The menu was inspired and drew heavily on local offerings. I asked for a very, very dry martini but let the bartender choose the gin and garnish, and I was delivered the best cocktail I have ever had. Everything was spectacular. Vegetarian-friendliness: very high. My wife got a root vegetable concoction that was as beautiful as it was delicious.
