This restaurant with an unassuming exterior is actually really great! It was recommended to me by a Japanese friend so I knew the ramen was going to be authentic. I tried both the pork ramen and the seafood ramen and they were both distinct and delicious! The soup base was savory, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the meat and veggies were both soft. I feel like a lot of other places have 1 or 2 of the 3 main parts (broth, noodles, meat and/or veggies) done well but not all three. The serving size is plenty. I had leftovers and the waitress boxed my noodles separate from my broth so that the noodles don't get soggy. I was so grateful! Most places won't do that for you. Additionally the service is fast and the waitress was nice. Seating is comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The ambiance is casual but you could definitely go here for a more casual date too. Parking is easy because there's a lot just around the corner. There's paid street parking right outside the front door, but just go to the free lot. I will definitely be visiting this place again.

The ramen at Midtown is second to none. There are a handful of varieties available, and they offer several add-ons - gyoza, extra meat, and red ginger to name a few - to round out your bowl. Tasty, shareable apps are available as well, and they have donburi bowls for those who prefer rice over noodles. More than once we've been in and the place was understaffed, resulting in slow service, though the servers on staff have always done their best to accommodate. If you happen in during a rush, don't fret; the food is well worth the wait.

Delicious. I had a pork dish that came with rice, miso and a salad. The others had the ramen. Everything was really good. Also, the service was excellent. My only warnings would be: 1/ We went on a Sunday night and we were told the 1st appetizer we picked was sold out because they are closed Monday’s 2/ If you go at a busy time and there’s more than 4 in your party expect a wait.

Service was exceptional! Our waitress was so kind and knew both the menu and the cooks who make it very well. Was a great experience with japanese food. I'll be back on my next trip to st.Louis!
