When I say this place is out of this world I mean it! I did the 10 course tasting meal and every single course was exceptional. When they brought out a fritter with caviar on the 2nd course I knew it was going to be an incredible experience. Their crab, ceviche, short ribs and fresh salsas speak for themselves. The pairings and balance of these foods is so well done, I'd say this takes 1st place for st Louis restaurants for me. I wish the photos did justice to the flavor profiles of these plates! My servers were so kind and attentive, my water stayed filled and I couldn't have asked for better service and experience

Excellent service, a beautiful space, a smart menu, and expertly prepared food. Everything I ate was delicious. The chef is obviously deeply knowledgeable about classic Mexican cuisine while also skillful enough to take creative new approaches. My one complaint is that sometimes it was a tad expensive for the portion sizes. For example, I ordered the beef short rib. For $30, I was served a piece of meat about as long as my index finger. It was delectable, and I’m sure prepared with great care and high-quality ingredients. But it was still hard to swallow paying that much when I could have gotten at least twice as much food for about half the price at other good Mexican restaurants around town.

Nixta is a rare find that you have to try. The design and aesthetic is on point and that’s just the atmosphere. Make sure to try one of their local cocktails and the soups. Wow. We did a couple plates between two people their were many dishes we wanted to try. They also have vegan and vegetarian dishes. To top it off, our server was so passionate about each dish, it was like listening to a story.

Tacos al pastor: two corn tacos stuffed with tender pork, a house made taco sauce that's sweet and tangy, pineapple and a bit of cilantro. We devoured them!

Great fast-causal, trendy Mexican that specializes in Oaxacan and Coastal Mexican flavors. Take your date or your husband to be!

    Five stars!
