I ordered a steak and a side dish of mashed potatoes and broccoli. This was my only time when the cook completely screwed up the mashed potatoes were made from potato powder (a rare disgusting thing), the broccoli was not fresh and the steak was too salty and the cook was also too lazy to clean the grill before frying the steak and removing sinews and other tough parts from the meat. The result is that the steak is difficult to chew, although juicy, it is also over-salted and bitter due to the fact that the grill was not cleaned before cooking the steak.

After an EXPENSIVE visit to the Kalona Brew Co., in Kalona, IA this last week, my wife and I went to this place, where I got a real 1/3# burger (blue cheese) with heavy bacon, mash potatoes, and a side salad. Very satisfying! No stinginess here.

Really enjoyed our first visit. A fairly new restaurant on Father's Day, with a focus on different beers would be expected to be busy and it was. Had to wait about 30 minutes, but worth the wait. Food and beer selection was very good.

So far, not impressed. Nebraska Ale Works is a nice name, but doesn't describe the place well.

The QR code for the beer menu is just plain lazy and poorly expected. Printing your beer menu is a much better choice.

Crispy fries are just frozen crinkle fries. Might have tried a different side had I known.

PB&J Burger tasted alright, but it's constructed poorly. Messier than it should be.

I was hoping for a better experience since I travel to Kearney for work often and stay in a nearby hotel.

First time here.... An excellent experience. Whether you're coming off the interstate or you're staying in the city this is one of Kearney's gems. Sure did enjoy the service & food was excellent.

Plus it was busy and we got our meals in less than 15 minutes.
