“My husband and son and I just happened upon this little place. It was great! There was fresh pizza that just came out of the oven for the buffet. There was a fresh salad bar with quite a few options. There was also a very clean bathroom which is so nice when you go out to eat with your family! Great family restaurant. I recommend.”

“So glad they are back!! Went to The Cellar for lunch - love the newly remodeled look with both outdoor and indoor seating. Menu is great & staff was friendly. Their famous onion rings are a must! Cheese curds are amazing. We also ordered pizza - delicious & a club sandwich, which was ok. The toast was burnt. Overall for still being in the “soft opening” stage, I was impressed. The only suggestion, there are only 2 handicap accessible parking spots. We dined with a handicapped friend and the only available parking was way back by Hobby Lobby. I’d love to see a few more handicap friendly spots added.”

“Finally got a chance to stop by and try this amazing food truck! We got 2 tacos, a quesadilla, and a burrito for less than $20. And they were loaded! The meat has so much flavor and it's super juicy. And the salsas are phenomenal. Definitely recommend!”

“This was possibly the best Mexican food I’ve had. The salsa was my ideal flavor (I don’t like cilantro). The queso was flavorful despite being completely smooth. They had a spin on my go to order of a Fajita burrito. They offered a fajita chimichanga instead! It was cooked really well and not overly greasy. It also didn’t have that extra tortilla feeling at the ends. I got the grilled chicken and it was excellent.”

“I ordered the enchalada combo. The beans and rice were YummY, but the enchiladas were extremely spicy. Obviously, it's not authentic Mexican food. The people inside the drive-thru restaurant were very friendly and fluent in Spanish, but they have obviously American Americanized their main dishes. I originally asked if they had chicken al pastor, and I was told no.”

“Give it up to UNK to somehow find a way to absolutely hide this absolute gem of a diner. This is open towards faculty, students, and the likes and caters to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's located inside of the University Residence South building and has a nice floorplan to accommodate a ton of students. It's right next to Discovery Hall, which is UNK's brand new STEM building which makes it even more ridiculous that UNK found it justful to potentially have this diner shut down instead of expanding on it so that their students have to walk or wheelchair across campus to the student union which is well over 10 minutes away just to get there at a speed walk. The diner is quiet and it's relaxing. The staff are extremely kind, and the food is tasty and ready. It will be truly one of the biggest losses i'm and others will be upset about on campus as it will really ruin a lot of student life for so many.”

“Update from the last time I was here and they remodeled and it is clean, the staff is friendly and they keep the place is clean. I do apologize for the messy eaters who could me here, but thank you for keeping the place clean, it does not go unproved! The Food is good and I’m happy that they decided to do this remodel and get the staff happy to work here. Good job!! Now the bathrooms need remodeling, hopefully they do that soon. Besides that Keep up the good work, smile and be friendly. This place is dirty, it’s out of date and just terrible service, they don’t care that they have a job, management is terrible, sitting on there butts and not doing anything. KFC has amazing food but I don’t like the people working here. I saw a guy wear his jack in the back of the kitchen doing the potato wedges??? I don’t know what’s going on here. Foods good, but it’s dirty and just out of date....just filthy. Hopefully the food isn’t that way.”

“We’ve gone to this place a couple of times. The food is not bad, but not stupendous. This last time we got there 4:50pm on friday. They said they don’t open until five, as fire up the grill. They take our order. We get salad bar. 40 minutes later we finally get our t-bone. The steak was more than medium well and it was seasoned with rosemary. This is the second time the meat was a little twangy, because of the spices. The ambiance was good, the food was proportionate to the price. The twang and the wait isn’t my cup of tea. I could have butchered the cow and grilled it myself in 40 minutes. If you like the rustic, taxidermied animal decor; this place is a site. The burgers and non-prime meats are great.”

“It was a bit of a let down after getting off of the highway quite a bit. The place was not as well maintained as I've come to expect. The service was good but also the food was carelessly assembled. The potato oles were stale. I don't expect to drive this route anytime soon but if I were, I'd like pass by on this TJ.”

“Sooooo good. Was driving through town and needed a quick place to stop by, was fantastic. I got the enchilada with barbacoa, delicious.”

“Nice place to stop in. This is the downtown restaurant. They also have a Cunningham restaurant closer to rt I80. We've been to both, and they each have good food. I like the atmosphere at this one because it's an older building with history. My wife had many carnivores options, and she chose one of their burgers. My plant based option was the Hummus plate with no added oil. It came with carrots, peppers, celery, and pita. It came with drizzled oil, but I was able to drain it off and scrape a layer off the Hummus. I also ordered a plain baked potato. It was plenty of food for me. They have good choices for beer and wine, but we went with coke and iced tea. Either location in Kearney will not let you down. Highly recommend.”

“Great place to get some good bar food! The wings were fantastic. Bleu burger was delicious. The sauces: bleu cheese, ranch, mango habanero, and jalapeño garlic were all homemade and delicious. It's definitely a great place to wind down, have a beer and some good food. Monica was our server she was very attentive and friendly. Although she had quite a bit of tables to tend to, she was right there before our drinks ran out and gave the check and paid out in a timely fashion. Do reccomend!”

“Worth the stop passing through for a couple of good IPAs, and a lot of options on tap if that’s not your taste. Friendly staff, good service, and good beer. The food options are very limited though, and the pizza is ok but nothing special.”

“My favorite coffee shop/breakfast joint in Kearney! The coffee is outstanding, the food is delicious and made from scratch, and the atmosphere is really nice. I’ve tried many things on the menu and they’re all great - the weekend biscuits & gravy are a must-try, the malted pancakes and crepes are so good and the Denver Omelette is so fresh and stuffed with ingredients. There’s a great outside patio too when the weather is nice. You should definitely give Kitt’s a try!”

“Wonderful restaurant; superb buffet with sandwich makings, fresh bread, salads, soup, even chicken dish with dumplings! Every bite was yummy, and in this day and age, the expense was well worth the cost. Service was excellent, in an old fashioned, comfortable environment. I was just passing through Kearney, and was referred to this restaurant by a local. If you decide to go there for a meal, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!”

“The course was in fine shape for the end of July. The strangest course layout I've ever seen, they need to provide some signage for the next hole location. Not a trash can to be seen or a beverage cart - it was 103 the day I played there.”

“This place is Fantastic. I could leave it at that, but I won't. The chips were great, always the first good sign of a good Latin restaurant. The people were very friendly and helped us figure out what we wanted. They didn't disappoint. We got some tacos and I had to get a burrito. The tortillas! Oh my The tortillas were so good. I had Al Pastor tacos, my wife had Carne Asada, and we got the little one Chicken. All of the tacos were so good. I'm a big fan of lime with my tacos and they give you an overly generous wedge of lime for each taco (something I did not complain about, there was enough to lime my burrito as well). Their al pastor was seasoned very well. I got a carne asada burrito and it was big and packed with steak and rice and the rest of the yummy things they fit into that thing. We also got their Arroz y leche, a rice dessert that was eaten too fast for me to snag a photo of. The food was so good I had to immediately write this review as I still sit at the table. Will definitely be returning soon. Next time I will be trying those Papusas and Empanadas! You have to try this new gift to Kearney.”

“I have been coming to Nick's Gyros since I visited from Texas as a kid. Now I live here. This place has been nothing but phenomenal with its food, seasonings of its meats, the quality of its fried goods and overall perfect with its portioning. Whether it be the traditional way or Nick's way, whether traditional meats or chicken, whether just a salad or a Philly cheese. This is a place you have to stop if you are a UNK student, resident or just passing through. It IS Kearney's Best Kept Secret.”
