Peppermill Restaurant & EKV Lounge

I don't normally leave reviews for steak, but holy cow, this place was so DELICIOUS!!! We all had some version of steak off the menu and it was cooked to medium rare perfection that just melts in your mouth! The house made sauce and house made blue cheese are so flavorful. We are just passing through on our way to ND and stopped here to eat. Now I'll be purposefully looking for a reason to drive through Valentine.

Service was great. Friendly staff. My burger was good, mushrooms and Swiss perfect, the burger was a little over cooked, I prefer a little juicier. Fries were great!

Husband had a beef combo which he enjoyed. Tender beef, large portion.

Seriously Amazing! I am from Omaha and this blows all those downtown restaurants I have been to out of the water. My filet was perfection, it honestly was probably the best I've ever had. I was not expecting greatness from such a small town. I guess now I know better it being cattle country and all. If you are anywhere near here and love good food, I cannot recommend them enough!

Really can't say enough about this restaurant! It's an absolutely gem of a place in a small, rural city. The food was unbelievable, the portions were out of this world, great beer selection (including locally brewed craft beer which was fantastic 😎), and the service literally couldn't be any better.

It's a model that other establishments should strive to be as they do ALL of the little things right! From a friendly greeting at the door, to getting your drinks immediately, to serving beer in a frosted mug (👌), to perfectly cooked broccoli, to hand-breaded, real fish, to spotlessly clean dining areas ... and I could go on, but we were all really impressed. To be in a hunting trip away from home in a small town and find a place like this was pretty cool! 🤘

Give them a try! You won't be unhappy, I guarantee it! And NO, I wasn't paid for this! LOL

We ate here since we were in town for a wrestling meet for the weekend. Place was nice, clean and staff was happy and attentive. We had our 3 youngest with us and they seemed to enjoy their food. I had to switch prime rib out for my son's smoked brisket as the sauce they put on the brisket was a bit too spicy for him. So he got my 12oz prime rib and I got his brisket. He loved the prime rib, and so did I. It was good. My son's brisket was over cooked/smoked. It was tough but not bad. We took dessert to go. Overall good place, clean and people were nice.
