We went to Mahogany for the first time for our 47th Anniversary. A wonderful experience! The food was excellent and the waitresses were so personable and attentive. Will definitely return!
Perfection is the word here. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. This is not a cheap meal, however, you wouldn't come here for a cheap meal. You come here knowing you will pay well for a masterful dinner. If you want that special meal with a special person or for an special engagement, then this is the place for you.
Great food and drinks. Service was a bit slow for a weekday evening. The prices are definitely on the high side. We had a large group and the spirits were flowing so we're didn't mind the wait so much. Still, we expected better from this top rated steakhouse.
Wife and I went to Mahogany Prime Steakhouse - Omaha for Valentines day. Both the service and the food were excellent. We enjoyed the off menu special Cowboy Bone-In Rib eye and King Crab shared plate. Steak and crab were both cooked and seasoned excellently! I like the "shared side" concept and enjoyed the spinach risotto with the perfect bite being a bit of risotto, crab and steak in one bite. Wife did not like the risotto as much as I did but she still liked it. The only two things of a negative nature i have to add is that the price was significant and the appetizer we chose was not our favorite. The bacon wrapped scallops with pesto and greens... way too much salad on the plate and while I liked both the bacon and the pesto they didn't mesh for me with the scallops. But that's a taste opinion only. :-)
My favorite steakhouse in Omaha - truly the best of the best! Because of the price point I only go for special occasions but absolutely love it! I've always been impressed with how they cut the kernels off the corn on the cob for you at the table. And the biggest baked potatoes this side of Morton's or Ruth Cris' steakhouses.
