Walked in around 11:15 to put in a to-go order. Had my order taken 10 minutes later. Ordered a simple breakfast of 2 eggs, hash browns, 4 sausages, and 3 medallion pancakes for $6.95 (great price!) then I waited for another 30 minutes until I actually got my order at 11:55, almost 40 minutes for the whole ordeal. Do not order take-out without calling ahead, because it will not be fast.
The best breakfast in town. And if you are a fan of chicken fried steak...oh my goodness. I can't eat that dish anywhere else now after having it a Billy J's because nowhere else comes close.
Great food. Had cinnamon French toast four pieces for six dollars and some change. Couldn't eat it all. Friend had waffle with two eggs and bacon for about the same price....clean, cozy restaurant...great coffee and free refills..only 2 dollars for coffee. We had four cups..delicious..
Great waitress. Only one for the whole restaurant. As soon as we sat down we had coffee and were asked if we were ready to order..
We said not yet. She came back in a few minutes to get our order. Food came in about 6 minutes or so. Not a long wait at all..so we are going there every Sunday after mass and during the week to try out their lunch menu...hope its as good as their breakfast menu. Only breakfast menu served on Sundays...great place!! Definatley recommend!! Great prices. Easy on the wallet!!
Visiting my father in Omaha, and he wanted to bring us to Billy J's Cafe, 'one of his favorite plaves to eat'. This restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch. The food portions are large, and very good. It was quite busy when we were there, but the servers did a pretty good job with keeping up. My dad brought me to Billy J's when I visited him last year, and the front door had a large crack. I was surprised to see that it still hadn't been fixed (seems like a significant safety hazard)
Nice little hole in the wall. Potatoes were great. A single biscuit for biscuits and gravy combo was a smaller portion than most other comparable spots. Eggs over medium were perfectly cooked. The service was as friendly as anyone would expect.
