Busy around 530pm, seated ourselves, service was decent a little slow. Food was good - bar food done pretty well!
This was my third time here. The place is okay. Relatively nice bathrooms, easy enough to seat a group, and the times we've had snacks, they were all right. The visit today was a bit off... Went for work, asked for a simple glass of white wine. Waitress started rambling random time types starting with merlot... Took drink orders from the table and kept trying to give bud light to the guy drinking blue moon. Stuff like that just seems bad at a bar... Offering red wine when asked for white, forgetting garnishes on drinks and giving the wrong beers... We're decent natured but I left early. I go because it's for work. Otherwise, I would not go to this place.
I was here twice over the course of a weekend due to the proximity to my hotel. I enjoyed both visits as the food and service was good. The bar tender was amazing and food was good. Plenty of televisions/projectors displaying a good variety of sports and/or sports related events.
DJs is a great place to go have some bar food while watching every game that is on at the time. They have specials each day, an extensive drink menu and a couple party rooms available too. If you go during Husker or Creighton games, it's a very spirited environment.
This is a local place that likely competes with such national chains as Buffalo Wild Wings, so my review is really a comparison to them. DJ’s menu seems larger and a little more creative. I had the wings and waffle fries. They were exactly as one might expect - nothing to explain here. I’d go here over BWW. It seemed quieter, they had plenty of TV’s, and the food is as good or better. I like to support local as much as I can and this one way to do so.
