El Arepon

Went to El Arapon which opened maybe a week ago.
They are still working out some kinks.
I am not familiar with Venezualan Cuisine, but was happy to learn more.

Chopped steak mixed with fresh tomato salad and queso fresca
I really liked the flavoring of the steak, but my friend found it a little dry for her.
Its packed full of meat, but the other items (fresh salad, etc) is on top, and when you bite into from the top, that's all you get. If you're ok with eating the meat seperate from the salad mostly, then this works, but I would have liked if it was more mixed. This was actually the last item I ate. Not sure if I waited too long or not, but I found the breading a bit dry. 4 star

Pabellon Empanada

-Delicious! It was piping hot and fresh. My favorite. Would return for this! 5 star

Patacons

Ground Beef, sandwich made with slices of fried green plantains instead of bread, served with tomato, lettuce and salsa.
Tasty, but not fond of the yellow mustard in it. Would ask for it without. Aside from that, 5 star

Venezualan Tostadas

My friend swore up and down that this was not what a tostadas is... but then we looked it up on the internet. Yes this is a Venezualan Tostatas. I thought it was good, but not my favorite out of all the items tonight. 4 star

On the menu it said "Guanabana", which translates to Soursop, but my bill said Guaravana. This was my friends drink that i had a taste of. It was good 4 star.

This drink was fabulous. 5 star. I actually am not fond of passion fruit a lot of the times, but would drink this again! I had been trying passion fruit drinks for awhile since it was my friends favorite thing.

Pokemon: There is a gym and 2 stops right nearby. If you sit on the patio you can get those 3 and just refill your bags.

Parking: We parked on the street, but we were told there was a parking lot nearby that you could use. I didn't walk over there though, so not entirely sure where it is, but it seemed to be right around the block.

Venezuelan home cooking in the new “Switch” Food Hall in Blackstone. The chopped steak arepa and the 2 sauces that come with it are really good. Can’t wait to try again!! Really cool venue with indoor and outdoor seating. Only recommendation would be to add some side options!
