R.U.B. Rotisserie Urban Bistro

Today my wife and I tried R.U.B for the first time and we will definitely be back! We both had chicken platters which came with two generous pieces of chicken that you, as the customer, get to select accompanied by three sides. I tried the black beans, rice, and cucumber salad and all were good! Next time I may skip the rice and try another side because I definitely don’t want to pass on the beans and cucumber salad…they were both so delicious! The chicken was PHENOMENAL, so juicy, tender and flavorful! The skin is where it’s at as it acts as the vessel for all of the delicious herbs and spices. We also purchased all of the sauces to try aside from the BBQ, only because that’s not our jam, and they were really solid! I really enjoyed the medium and macha salsa! The habanero was spicy (as it should be) and paired well with a bite of chicken, rice, and beans, it also tasted good as a drizzle on top of the cucumber salad! The restaurant was clean and inviting, all of the food looked well made and fresh, and the staff was very helpful and friendly! What really made our experience over the top was having the owner & manager Carlos come over and chat with us about our food and visit to the restaurant. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable on his products. Yes, it’s more of a fast casual concept than his other venues but it makes for a great place to grab something a bit lighter and healthier either on the go or for a quick sit down meal. The price was appropriate for the quantity and quality of food you receive. We hope R.U.B continues to pick up business and support from the Omaha community as it is a one-of-a kind concept! Give R.U.B a try- you won’t regret it!

The food here is so delicious! Everything is so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Loved the cold salads and fried plantains!

Food was very good. Adults and kids all loved it. Unique sauce and side dish options. Kids can eat more plain/mild food if they are picky or you can add the sauces for extra flavor. Super friendly staff. Loved the large windows and greenery indoors.

My wife and I went and shared a meal and arguably was the perfect amount of food. I'm not sure where people are getting too small of portions. That being said it may benefit from having smaller portions with a lower price. We really enjoyed it and would go again.

Very tasty, original flavors and seasoning. Hot sauces are 🔥 a european/latin flare. A little on the high side of price but it is quality flavor and service. Staff was friendly and attentive. Has only been open for 3 weeks. I will be back.
