These guys not only have great food, but they serve a great purpose in the community. I've tried several of the goodies here and was never disappointed. The owner Karen really has a passion for serving the less fortunate of our city. It is my pleasure to support this great local business.
Great sandwich cafe, great prices, great food, great prices. Alll for a good cause to boot. Helping the less fortunate among us to get a meal. Get down there next lunch time. The chicken salad is great.
We use Lulus for catering our company meetings. I always get compliments on the food, as it is fantastic. Karen is easy to work with and delivers to us at the time we need it. They run a program for low income/homeless for pay what you can for food and they coordinate other help for people who need it. Pretty awesome!!
I ordered a hot meatloaf and cheddar sandwich on white (they were out of marble) and a slice of apple pie. The sandwich was fantastic. I've made sandwiches out of leftover meatloaf before, but only with bread and mayo. I never though to add cheese, butter the outside of the bread and then toast it like a grilled cheese. I'll definitely get that again. Unfortunately the pie was a huge disappointment. I'm not sure if the pie had been sitting for a few days, but the crust quite literally had the consistency of cardboard and was flavorless. The pie filling was quite watery/liquidy but the flavor of the filling was pretty good. The sandwich will definitely have me coming back, but I'll probably go with a pastry or bag of chips with my sandwich next time.
