“My husband and I found this place through the local farmers market one summer and immediately fell in love with their pecan rolls and almond croissants. Since then, I’ve loved going to the shop off of 70th and O. The staff are helpful and the food is delicious. They also have day old bread and frozen pastries for a slight discount. Delicious!”

“Edited 1/2019 to say that the owner sold this and moved to a different location, which is now closed. HOWEVER, "The Bethany Cafe" is still open, but it's a different owner and a completely different menu, atmosphere, everything. Seems to be more bar and grill fare, heavy on the microwave. Loved the scallops special, and especially the roasted Brussels sprouts. Pan roasted chicken was good, but tough. Lemon tart was very lemony, and nice and tart.”

“Great food, hearty portions. Loved the onion rings and the cheeseburger. Order was filled perfectly, although it was a little hard to order at the board (had to go through the drive thru twice because we sat for over 5 minutes the first time through without any acknowledgement, but the second time was fine). Prices were steeper than expected (much higher than pictures online showed), but I would go back. Looking forward to trying some of the cupcakes!”

“Honestly, It’s Good On a whim, with nothing to do, I traveled to Lincoln, NE from Omaha for a day trip. When I did a search for the top ten best burger places in the area, Honest Abe’s Burgers & Freedom was at the top of the list. So, with an empty stomach and a big appetite, I went for the challenge. Located on the corner of a shopping center, the restaurant isn’t fancy when you step inside, but there is a clever history timeline on the wall that you can read as you wait in line. Pay attention because there are some fun additions related to Abe and burgers written in. The chalk board menu at the front of the restaurant lays out everything you may want before you give your order to the cashier. For me not only is the burger important but so is the bun. My “Greatest Burger Ever” selection was not only juicy with all the toppings that are offered along with their “awesome sauce,” but the soft, pliable bun held it all together. Since the menu is a la cart, for an additional 3.75, you can add the freedom fries, and a drink. It was a pleasure meeting Ben, who’s customer service skills were on point. Overall: Honestly, it was the best burger I’ve had in a while.”

“We are visiting from out of town and were looking for good Chinese takeout. While the place doesn’t look like much from the outside - it is definitely worth trying out. They have all the staples and some cool different dishes I’d like to try as well. We had Kung Pao Chicken, Firecracker Chicken and spring rolls. The chicken dishes were very tasty but the spring rolls were meh...My wife ordered fried rice with her dish but it came out as yellow rice - closer to Mexican rice than fried rice. It was good - just odd. The girl who took our order was super nice and the staff was crazy busy and efficient. Nice experience overall.”

“We stayed overnight in the RV parking behind the restaurant. The parking lot was very clean and we were able to park next to a tree. They did not mind us running our generator.
