Braxtons Brisket BBQ

Stopped in here when we were passing through McCook, NE. At first glance I didn't think much of the place (and I'm a BBQ LOVER). My wife suggested we try it and I waffled. We went back to the car, then decided to try it, and soooo glad we did. Every customer we talked to raved about the food. When we ordered, the owner (Steve) took our order and we had a great conversation. Got some ribs, brisket, beans, mac-n-cheese, and a slice of blueberry pie, to go. We ate back at our RV, and every mouthful was a gastronomic delight. I will say it was some of, if not THE best BBQ I have ever had. And because Steve smokes everything, the beans and Mac were just as good. If you like BBQ, you are going to LOVE Braxtons, many thanks to Steve and Braxton.

Wow!!! The food was absolutely amazing!! I had the cowgirl sundae and my husband had the cowboy sundae!! Both were absolutely amazing and a ton of food!! We had to bring some leftovers home!! Now our son gets to enjoy that!! Love the family atmosphere and the joy of hearing the kids laughter!! The owner was so sweet and I loved being able to talk to her!! She has such a living and caring and giving heart!! We had a very sweet and funny waitress!! Please everyone give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!! We can’t wait to go back!!

I came here for vacation and was beyond blown away by the food.
The brisket was so tender, flavorful and I could have eaten a pound of it alone.
The carrot cake was sinfully delicious and really made the dinner have an sweet and satisfying ending.
Best BBQ I’ve had in years, I’d make the drive up here again purely for Braxtons.

I highly recommend the loaded baked potato with the smoked brisket. And these folk's know how to make great beans with big chunks of meat. Oh my goodness !!! And the carrot cake is to die for !!! What amazing food. And the customer service is excellent and the owner's are very friendly and so is the staff. You have got to try the amazing food here.

I’ve had the Brisket, Ribs, Prime Rib, Pulled Pork and Pork Belly and I love them all...savory and delicious. They use a local source for their meats so the flavors are amazing. Their Sides that are my favorite are the cole slaw, baked tater and Mac n Cheese. Desserts ....oh my... the peach cobbler, you can actually taste the peaches and the topping is perfect. Want to try a perfect Brownie!! Barbi’s carrot cake is also amazing!
