“Stopped in here when we were passing through McCook, NE. At first glance I didn't think much of the place (and I'm a BBQ LOVER). My wife suggested we try it and I waffled. We went back to the car, then decided to try it, and soooo glad we did. Every customer we talked to raved about the food. When we ordered, the owner (Steve) took our order and we had a great conversation. Got some ribs, brisket, beans, mac-n-cheese, and a slice of blueberry pie, to go. We ate back at our RV, and every mouthful was a gastronomic delight. I will say it was some of, if not THE best BBQ I have ever had. And because Steve smokes everything, the beans and Mac were just as good. If you like BBQ, you are going to LOVE Braxtons, many thanks to Steve and Braxton.”

“Good food, plenty of drink options, and great service. (Photos taken at closing so you can see the layout without many people, last picture has the owner Jake Weyeneth serving a customer).”

“I like Casey's, but I love the Rocket. The pizza is always fire and the staff is always great to see. Makes me wish I had the time just to hangout at the bar and see them all doing their best.”

“We've eaten at Tequilas many times over the years. The food is always very good, and the service is too. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Updating my review after lunch here today (June 2022). The interior is newly redecorated. All the bright colorful Mexican art tables and chairs/booths are gone, updated with comfortable upholstered booths, solid wood tables, with beautifully carved matching chairs. Lovely lighting, and Frida paintings - a more sophisticated new look. Always impeccable service, and the meals have never disappointed us.”

“When you're on a business trip, and in a hurry - you forget the most important part when trying to be a Google review expert, I didn't even capture one photo of my food or drink! (LOL - expert!) Thanks to my 30 glorious followers. I ordered the club wrap (no tomatoes - stupid food allergies) but man was it tasty!! The wrap was multi-colored and I'm not sure what was in it, but the food was delicious (despite having a mild reaction - the risk I take when eating out). The drink I got was a small sugar free blended carmel coffee. It tasted just as good as a coffee shop and surprisingly sweet for "sugar free" - again I run the risk when trying new things. Ultimately, I will go back if I'm in McCook again and would 100% recommend to stop by this little Cafe if you're in the area or passing through.”

“New Owners! Yum! Yum! & Yum! You have got to try the sopes! I've had both beef and chicken and they're delicious! My daughter had the cheeseburger basket and she added an over easy egg! The last photo is their breakfast borito! Better bring your appetite! This thing is huge!!! The food is great here and the place has been remodeled and thoroughly cleaned. Great people, great place and hey, they serve alcohol and have a bar! Cheers folks!”

“This place continues to impress me in these dark days of poor food and service. This is the third time I've eaten here and has been great every time. Blackened prime rib sandwich was amazing. The corned beef stromboli was amazing.”

“A popular local bar especially on the weekends. They make strong but good cocktails and other mixed drinks, have a decent beer menu. The prices are absolutely right though, some of the best I've seen comparatively in years. It perfectly fits the bill of the favored local/dive bar.”

“Loved it. This is a small place but packed with people so you know the food is good. The six of us enjoyed ourselves very much. Nothing beats good friends and good food. Will stop in again when we come to town.”

“Had the smoked wings. Before I ordered them, I asked if they were fresh, not frozen. Yes fresh I was told. There is no way they were fresh as they were so dry with that frozen texture. No smoky flavor at all either. I smoke wings at home. Does not take long to absorb flavor. The place is nice with friendly service and good pizzas and burgers. Best smoked wings I have ever had was at Moe’s bbq in Eagle, CO. And they are fresh. Maybe the owner should take a trip to see how it’s done.”

“They stayed open past close so my kiddos wouldn’t miss out on their nightly sno cones. The owner is so friendly, and accommodating. The staff is always fast, super nice, and very helpful. We love to support local businesses, especially small businesses. This is definitely one of our favorites!”

“I always have TJs when I do laundry. I always ask for no lettuce on my tacos. A young trainee missed this today. No big deal. I wasn't gonna complain. When I was asked how things are I was honest and mentioned the lettuce. About three minutes later I had fresh tacos with no lettuce. The service and food is always great!”

“For sure it's a nice drive in ! Pretty good stuff inside. The order system it's pretty genius and fun, use a phone for order it's pretty cool ^^ Just one bad things for me, it's a good restaurant but miss a veggie or vegetarian burger in the menu. Sure they are mushrooms and mozzarella sticks there are really good but it's not a real meal.”

“An absolute diamond family owned restaurant. I do a fair amount of travel for work in small communities, and get tired of the same ol chain restaurants. So nice to have a home style meal on the road. Catfish was a large portion and hot. Sides were average and corn bread was ok. 5 star for fast, friendly and family atmosphere. Will return.”

“Went to Runza for supper and they forgot some of our food. (Unfortunately this isn’t the first time either) I did call to let them know and told them how upsetting it was because we have to drive back to grab it. I spoke to a gentleman name Kyle, He was super understanding and was very professional! He did everything great to make sure we were happy customers! 10/10 recommend Kyle!”

“Staff were super friendly and the menu had a wide choice with some excellent specials. Jalapenos Wrapped in Bacon....Amazing, Artichoke, Garlic and Parmesan soup, the best soup I have had in the states. The South West steak with a coffee and Chili rub... outstanding. The Peanut butter cheesecake was unreal. What a gem in McCook.”
