Took my daughter here for lunch on a Saturday. We both love sushi and wanted to try this new place. Service was amazing. Server who seated us explained everything and was clearly proud to work here. They had not had their tea delivery yet so they had no cold or hot tea. We got there right when they opened so the sushi bar was a little sparse for a bit. Picked up after awhile. Deserts looked amazing but the portions were too big to want to partake. And the sushi we ordered from the menu on the train was amazing, but the sushi on the conveyer was just OK. Will be ordering more from the menu next time.
Not a place for large parties unless you are OK sitting in line at a bar. The tables only seat 4. So parties larger than 4 at the bar facing the conveyer not a table.
The literal sushi train delivering special orders to your table is adorable. Loved the Volcano roll, Omaha Roll, and Spicy Tuna. Honestly, I loved everything we tried but I don't remember them all RIP
It's possible to ball on a budget here for sure but we definitely bashed on several plates.
Atmosphere is great inside, too. They had some 90s-2000s jams going. Mostly natural light and interesting walls projections (not flashing.) Its spacious with both table seating and train facing seating.
Such a cool place! Vibes were immaculate. Lunch bento box was a great deal for the price. Lots of interesting options in the train, even dessert! The Oreo cake was delicious! Would definitely recommend to friends and come again! Nicole was an awesome server and very knowledgeable :)
We had an enjoyable & amazing time at Sakai Sushi last Friday. Great service, huge variety of tasty Sushi dishes, and dessert. You can also order from their menu, but we loved the prepared items on track. Definitely returning for more as we got full, and the train kept chugging delicious plates of new rolls. For how many plates we stacked, reasonably priced too...bonus.
We got in slightly after 11 for lunch, the dining area was about 50% occupied but more people were coming in after we were seated. Proper lunch rush I would say. We were promptly told they didn’t have any tea, hot or cold which was very unusual to me, our server didn’t tell us why. We ordered their lunch special bento boxes and decided to grab a few plates from the conveyor for our toddler and made the right choice because our food took 40+ minutes to get to us. It was nice to get soup and salad pretty much right away but the main dishes took FOREVER and that’s not the best since it is a lunch special and would normally be pushed out first, right? It felt like the kitchen was concentrating on the sushi pieces and not the cooked items.
The food was delicious though and fairly priced so I’m really hoping they are just still a little overwhelmed and will improve overtime.
Will definitely be back!
