What can I say this place literally has abuelita (grandma) in the kitchen throwing down!! The food was very flavorful and fresh. The mojito was the best I've had hands down. The mojo de ajo tasted fresh and delicious. Came from the strip to eat here on a recommendation from a friend who lived in the area. Definitely worth the 20 min ride one way. The Cuban coffee was on very good, helped me avoid the food coma after lol.
What an amazing restaurant with amazing food and service. We left the cluttered strip for something different and stumbled upon this gem of authentic Cuban cuisine. Louis our server was professional, very accommodating and surprised our table with desserts gratis! This will be my go to when I'm in town.
My son has ordered delivery from them many times. He always mentioned how delicious it was. So, we decided to finally pay them a visit.
WELL WORTH IT! Food, service, atmosphere is definitely up to standards and expectations. Their menu has all the traditional Cuban cuisines. Some with an extra special added twist.
The seasonings and spices are what I remember from my family cooking. I had the "Rabo Encendido", because you can tell a whole lot about the rest of their menu items by this dish. Definitely did not disappoint! Very plentiful chunks of the Ox Tail, with hearty meat, barely any fat.
The desserts...OH MAN! HEAVENLY BLISSFUL! We ended our dinner with some delicious Cuban Espresso.
GIVE THEM A VISIT WHENEVER YOU CAN!
Restaurant is huge. Went for lunch and it was me and one other table. Perhaps it's livelier in the evening. The food was good. The bread they serve is amazing. Some, warm, buttery, I had 2 baskets. The Cuban sandwich is as authentic as it gets. I also had the pork tamale. Way to many onions but the pork crackling served with it makes enjoyable. Will definitely return
This is now in my top ten lunch spots in the valley. Truly authentic flavors and fresh spread in every dish. I tried it for the first time early last week and ended up returning again on Friday. The steak strips with onions, bell peppers, sticky rice and black beans was only elevated by a side of fried plantains. The atmosphere during weekday lunches is fairly calm and quiet, which I love but I have heard they have live music on the weekends. Hope you give this spot a try.
