“I was in the area and wanted a bag of espresso grind for home use. I found this place and boy, are we happy! They have so many different roasts! It makes it hard to choose, so we got three bags! We were served right away. The lattes were great but the sandwiches were sensational! The breakfast sandwich I had… the eggs were so fluffy, the bun was warm and soft, the sausage was the right kind of spice and there was a slight drizzle of maple syrup on it. Just as I was wondering if the egg was fresh, I got the teeniest-tiniest bit of shell in that bite..! Well there was my answer right there. The vibe is chill and sleek, inviting. When we walked in I knew we’d want a to sit and relax for a while. I love it, plan to come back many times in the future.”

“This Starbucks is slow. Slow in the drive-thru, and twice as slow inside the store. They prioritize the drive customers over the in-store customers, and the drinks are hit or miss. I once had to wait 25 minutes for them to make a simple latte. You’re better off driving to another location than this one.”

“A gem of a find! Unfortunately when we popped in they were out of lamb pies so I had the meat pie topped with cheese, excellent. In-Laws had the fish and chips and were impressed, nice thick white fish and crispy batter. We got sausage rolls to go (surprised they survived the journey home, they looked so good). I asked for HP sauce but understand they don't carry it, after all they are a Kiwi restaurant and not British. This place will become a favourite, pleasant staff, good ambience and fantastic NZ styled food!!!”

But anyway her customer service so bomb she’s the only one that gives me napkins and offers me a straw with my drink she’s just a really sweet girl and I wanted to give her a shout out. I’m a city bus driver and I sometimes ask her for a extra sandwich bag to cover my drink up while I’m at work she’s so awesome. I like wen she’s working the window in the morning”

“Delicious! I ordered their chicken with mole and pork with green salsa tamales, wrapped in banana leaves for my mom’s birthday. I wanted to take pictures of them but everyone grabbed the tamales so fast that I was not able to take any. They make their own masa which is light and moist, not like the tamales you may buy elsewhere, the price was great and my Mexican family was impressed. Will definitely order tamales from here again.”

“I've eaten many meals at magnolias over the years. They used to have really cheap prime rib special at night after 4:00 it was as good as anything I've had at any restaurant. It's much more expensive now, but you won't get a better one anywhere. my tip is get the French dip made with prime rib at lunch. It is prime rib perfection and melts in your mouth! If it's the month of your birthday, get a players club card and they will give you buy one get one free meal. They will also give you parking validation for 24 hours in the garage. You can't beat that deal for anywhere downtown.”

“I am very surprised this place is not packed all the time because the food was delicious!! We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch together. The croissant French toast was superb- flaky, crunchy, soft topped with a tangy creamy lemon glaze. The grommet chicken sandwich with a side of dill potatoes was fantastic. We also enjoyed a bowl of the lentil celery soup which was a perfect combination of texture and taste. Highly recommend this place! I will be back for sure”
