“Fantastic breakfasts, especially the Sunday buffet! But our favorite is the BLT (on homemade wheat, toasted) and those amazing fries! Oh yeah....and their super Bloody Mary tops it off... served by the best waitress in town (thanks, Tina! ;-) )!!!”

“Finally had a chance to head north and see Mike , Ellen & Mickey. The place looks great. With such mouthwatering smells coming from the kitchen, if you weren't hungry before you entered, you were as soon as you opened the door. But then that's always the norm at any place they touch. And the payoff is great food and plenty of it, in a real homey atmosphere. Pack up the kid's , ma and pa too and head on down for great food, service and prices.”

“Was traveling through the area and stopped for gas. The downtown looked quaint and cute so I figured there had to be something good to eat here. I asked a local at the gas station what's good here and the first spot he mentioned was R Place. He said if I wanted pizza or a sandwich this is THE place here. He was right! A cute little shop. I met the owners. They were such nice people! I asked what their "best" was and right away they told me their cheese steak is the best north of Philly. They were right! Incredible bread, the best lean beef, fresh onions and peppers made this an incredible lunch! Thanks again and I'll be back!”

“Stopped for ice cream after dinner one night. Ordered a small bowl and got multiple flavors. Blueberry, chocolate chip cookie dough, and Maine something (raspberry /chocolate). Prices were wonderfully affordable, and the ice cream was amazing. Couldn't pick a favorite. Will definitely be back!”

“Best breakfast I've had in the White Mountains. I will be back to this place with my family anytime we may find ourselves in the area. A plus is that it's ~10 minutes to Santa's Village. However, I was sad that they are closed on Wednesdays because that was the day I initially wanted to go. Lucky for me, we were able to go back the next day and enjoy a hearty breakfast with generous portions. And this place uses real Maple syrup without charging you $2+ for it. I want to try every single thing on their menu. The pancakes are the size of a large plate. Go to this place for a great value for your money and scrumptious food.”

“We really enjoyed our visit to Munroe's. My wife and I split a tuna melt platter. The fries were very good, and the tuna melt was a great mix of tuna, and just enough mayo to make it great. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere with a small town feel. They cater to us passersby doing their well best to make us feel like hometown regulars. I would recommend Munroe's to anyone who is remotely close to the area. You won't regret it.”

“We had a charity run that brought about 60 to 70 people to this establishment. They were very friendly and fast to get all of us in and out in a timely manner so we could get back on the road. The food was incredible and the portion sizes were large. Great job guys I will see you again!”

“Lovely space to lay your head for one rejuvenating nights sleep as we did, or stay a short while and explore the vicinity or attend a wedding or other event. This space was very clean, comfortable and I especially liked a few of the thoughtful touches. The invitation to take the soap home to prevent unnecessary waste. The shower control closest to you and out of the water spray range. Recommend!”

“Had a fine experience, the staff was friendly. The menu wasn't very large, a little on the pricey side for it, I didn't think the food was anything special, but there isn't much else in the area and when you're hungry from hiking Mt Washington this is a good place to go. Nice setting and a cool history to the site.”

“Went for lunch (mid-pm) and it was great choice. Amazing view out on the patio and great food. Portions are huge, we shared 1 app and each had a meal and couldn't finish all the food. Service was great. Somewhat limited options, but I understand it's a lunch menu in a steakhouse.”

“Beautiful but dated, expensive and not amazing. Seasonal service. Definitely an experience to have at least once though.”

“Unique bar with intriguing history and a very cool, speakeasy atmosphere. It easily transports you back in time with the stone walls and cement bar. Drink prices are fairly high but well worth the experience to have a drink in this historical spot, and the bar tenders were attentive and made good cocktails and mixed drinks. Nice, trendy vibe with modern dance music playing, with a stage for live music and working billiards/shuffleboard game tables. Be warned, it is very cold in here as well. Definitely bring a light jacket, I regret not having done that myself. All in all a great bar to check out, but overall I will rate it four stars due to the very high prices for drinks and how cold it was in the room.”
