“We stopped unexpectedly and were pleasantly surprised by the selection and food quality. The outside has a humble appearance so we've always dismissed the restaurant as a simple sandwich shop. However, the dining room is tastefully decorated and gives the sense of a higher quality restaurant. The menu has varied options, and seems to keep pace with the latest trends. We had the Reuben and the Thai Curry bowl,and were very pleased with the quality and taste. Delicious!! Our server, Eric, was funny and engaging. We did feel the kid's meals could have offered more for the price, but otherwise have no complaints. Delightful experience!”

“Here's my problem with DD. The coffee is great, but the breakfast sandwich situation needs work. The croissant egg Bacon comes what is best described as steamed. Croissants should be light and flaky. Bacon same soft and chewy not my idea of ideal. I understand they don't cook to order, but that would be a game changer. Great beverages but haven't found a good breakfast sandwich yet.”

“Love the Red Arrow Diner. I've had several items off this menu and have been pleased all the way around. Pancakes and fried french toast is great. The buffalo chicken Mac n cheese and the chicken fingers are some of the best I've ever had. Red Arrow has a retro charm and feel to it all the way down to the regulars at the breakfast bar, the loud ambiance, and the tables crammed everywhere set up. Highly recommended you're into great food but miss how places felt in the 80s/90s (perhaps earlier but I'm can't speak from experience).”

It was amazing how many staff were behind the counter, all working together like a fine tuned machine from taking your order to keeping the long line moving. And Krystal, the Manager, has always been pleasant and friendly. And finally, the Hinsdale DD has the best coffee of any DDs in my area.”
