Decided to just come here for appetizers and drinks. We read some of the reviews and it was a turn off and im glad we only went for apps and drinks as the food is just ok. The drinks were good and definitely decent portions, but compared to some of the other restaurants in the Tropicana this restaurant is lacking.
Restaurant service was impeccable and food was of good value and quality! Highly recommended, especially during Happy Hour. Gigi as my bartender and server was friendly and attentive. Got the brisket and cheese fries, baked potato soup, pulled pork sandwich and cherry cobbler a la mode! Beer was Mango Wheat and very good. I left full and satisfied, needed to go for a walk to digest. Ha. Would definitely return with friends/family!
Made reservations for 20 people and they easily accommodated us. Food came out fast and was delicious! Prices are very reasonable considering your in the casino. I had the Mac and cheese burger with candied bacon. It was a LOT if food
I would happily go there again.
I was excited to see a new restaurant at Tropicana and curious to see if the food was good. Well I was dissatisfied. Maybe I should have tried the BBQ (pics look good). I ordered take out. I didn't have a taste for BBQ so I ordered the sweet honey maple chicken and waffles. The presentation was good. Decent portion. I didn't taste the maple, but there was a kick in the sauce (tasted like a sweet honey chipotle sauce). Since I ordered a waffle I do wish they provided plain syrup, instead I got a side of sauce with a slight spiciness. It was fine on the chicken but not for the waffle. I also ordered the mac and cheese. It's a creamy white sauce topped with Cheeto cheese puffs (surprise! ). Tasted okay and balanced the chicken fingers. Finally, I tried the banana pudding (and I knew this wasn't going to be my family's recipe but I was curious). This was a FAIL! I don't know what this was (maybe an experiment) but banana pudding it was NOT! The good thing was there was bananas. The bad thing was there wasn't pudding. There was caramel sauce at the bottom and pretzels garnished the top. Someone please mention this on the menu. If you just want to taste bananas with other random toppings then this is it. Try this spot for yourself but maybe get the BBQ instead.
The service was great! The food was good however the ribs were chewy(not recommend). The collard greens were a little sweet for my taste. The tater tot seasoning was fun. The pulled pork was not very flavorful. The brisket was the best part of the meal. We shared a pick 3 platter.
