Long time Toscano’s fan and was excited for this to open. This is my feedback and kids feedback.
Lasagna for 2- absolutely delicious but the portion for 2 was just 4 pieces that are 1” wide and 2” long. It taste better and creamier than Marcelos Lasagna by a tiny margin and I like theirs but the portion size just killed it. I live in NYC half the time so I don’t expect a ton.
Gnocchi Strattino- it was 8 gnocchis and this caused be to call. Gnocchi was delicious but not a lot of taste in preparation.
Eggplant Parm- if you like it at Toscanos- you’ll like it here. It’s the same. Was prepared over Gnocchi which ironically they gave more of as a side then they did on the above.
I spoke w Donna and was at Toscano’s two days later and she promised to have an appetizer sent to us to make up for the feedback above which she forgot to do.
I want nothing more than for this to be a 5. It’s tough times operating in outdoor seating and corona. I hope that they increase portion sizes - it’s pasta made there with flour so it isn’t expensive. I’ll give it another try and hope that it’s just a better experience.
The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious!
