Really interesting drinks. We had the grilled shrimp appetizer which was absolutely awesome. There is also a really cool style to the decoration of the restaurant. If you're a wine fan then this place should be right up your alley too
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Solid food. Some interesting beers.
Probably the best service we've ever received eating out. Super friendly and attentive waitress/waiter pair who were both able to make solid recommendations based on our questions and actively remembered and looked out for us being vegetarian.
Really dug the style of the whole place and was a big fan of the flatbread & hummus dish.
Great Australian vibe.
Relaxed & comfortable laidback vibes.
Beautifully designed with surfboards & lots of local art.
Frankie is equal parts ambiance and food. After moving in the neighborhood, we walked past Frankie making a note of the funky decor and resolved to try it. It's quickly become one of our regular haunts.
The retro-Aussie makes for a fun, tropical setting in the summer and a bastion from the snow in winter. On top of that, the staff is knowledgeable about their dishes and drinks. You'll also have the owner greeting everyone at the door and checking in on tables.
I love the cocktails here. Many are unique twists on old favorites, or just really good versions of the classics. I don't care if it's brunch or not, you should try the Bloody Mary. I also recommend the Black Crow King which is a gin drink mixed with activated charcoal.
As much as I love the cocktails, the food never disappoints. From their smoked salmon brunch dish to the zucchini noodles, it's all delicious. I'm never mad about having the same meal twice... Or three times.
If you have room for a light dessert (and even if you don't) you need to try the pavlova. Light and savory with just the right amount of sweet, it just might be my favorite dessert in town.
Frankie is a unique joint and I'm glad it's here. If you find yourself in DTJC in need of a drink, dinner, or both, you should check this place out.
