Got the chance to try Mezcal Kitchen while attending a foodie party in Jersey City. I had an Elote that was really tasty and hot. The staff members were friendly.

Mezcal kitchen is the new generation of mom and pop shop. Food is the passion. Chef Roberto has a culinary backgrounds in Italian, French, Asian, and Mexican cuisines. He brings to you, traditional and Mexican inspired dishes. The place alone stands out with the Decor....the food is delicious you see the chef cooking....and it has a bar!!! With a nice TV! Hands done one of the best Mexican spots in Bayonne!

Authentic Mexican food and good ambience. It would have been nice if they served alcoholic beverages too like margaritas and beers. Although they let you BYOB and serve it for you. Overall it was a good experience.

Delicious daily lunch specials under $10 with attentive but not overbearing wait staff. Served in less than 5 minutes. Who could ask for anything more? There's a lack of affordable, good restaurants near Journal Square, and this place is filling that need. Typically a good meal around here costs $12 or more, so $7.95 is a steal. Nice music, too, and the place was clean!
