Roots Ocean Prime

It was my first time there and I will definitely be back. The caesar salad and pork ribs were delicious starters. The chilean sea bass was thoroughly enjoyable and I got to have a tasty bite of the halibut too. Next time I will try a steak. Highly recommend this restaurant thanks to its good food and friendly hosts.

Our first visit here and they hit a home run, no a grand slam! Redesigned bar area (maybe 2nd longest bar in Princeton?) The Dry aged and Wet aged steaks and seafood platter were extraordinary!! GREAT place to eat and make sure to say Hello to Andy, Director of Operations, he knows what he is doing! We will be back often!

Top notch food in an elegant setting. The staff are remarkably well trained and polite. This is a must see steak-house in Princeton.

Some friends wanted to checkout Roots Ocean Prime, so I gave it another shot. The experience was night and day different...for the better. Great food and even better service. I highly recommend the seafood tower. We’ll be back again.

Recently opened, so perhaps they’re going through some growing pains. We had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our table as it appears they’re short on staff. The waiters don’t really know the menu. Our steaks were severely undercooked. They mixed up a prime rib with a NY strip at the table next to us.

We may be back because you can’t beat the location if you’re around campus, but we’ll give it a year or so to see if they’re still in business.
