The Big Easy of Trenton Restaurant

I loved this restaurant! We went after a Disney on Ice show. Called up said that there were 10 of us and they were awesome. The food was the best I've had in a long time. Great place, if you're out and are hungry you need to check this place out!

Love it every time I go! The food is always exquisite & the staff is always respectful & pleasant! Hands down, they have the best soul food in town!

Downtown, the location is tough on parking but so worth the effort. The food is hot, fresh and ridiculously delicious. The lobster mac and cheese is rich and filling. The greens have just the right amount of heat. And the cornbread...oh, the cornbread. You don't even need butter. Just a fork. Or your hand. The owner is friendly and you feel right at home. They're open 7 days a week, in case Google steers you wrong. Stop in, you won't regret it.

I went during lunch time around noon. I ordered the Mac n cheese, string beans,collard greens and ox-tail. For 2 sides and 1 meat $15.
Pros -
1. waitress was polite and attentive
2.Restaurant decor is very nice
3.Great music playing
4.Location is convenient
5.Was decently priced given the location and portion size
6.Ox-tail was tender. Sauce had a nice flavor
Cons-
1.My least favorite dish was the Mac n cheese.the cheese used did not give the taste a kick. Didn't really taste seasoned.
2.The string beans didn't have much flavor either. The collard greens were okay.
3.Potato salad was offered as a menu item but the waitress informed us that there was no more .Before offering the menu items, items should be verified.
I decided to try this restaurant because it was suggested to me. I was disappointed because as a soul food restaurant Mac n cheese and collard greens should be on point. When you grow up on soul food, you become a tough critic lol
I would visit again to try
something else.
