Pappagallos Pizza

Excellent food, Sicilian rice ball was AMAZING, chicken francese was beyond perfect. Chicken parm and lemon pepper chicken were equally as great. The people here are super friendly. (Also tried the plain pizza and I gotta say it’s one of the best in NJ) Best place I’ve been to in a long time. Do not forget to get a cannoli you will not regret it.

Had the Nonna pie (thin Sicilian), and Malibu salad, both were very good!

This is New Jersey, so pizza is a big deal. Pappagallos is a welcome addition to beautiful Highland Park in my opinion. I ordered a Margherita pie ?. The sauce was noteworthy. It was delicious, mildly sweet and tart. Awesome. The cheese was fresh and melted nicely and the basil was green and tasty. The crust was decidedly chewy and nicely strong, no floppy pizza here. My only gripes are that the crust could have been a little crisper and perhaps less doughy, however make no mistake this was an overall solid slice, one of the better ones around and by far the best in Highland Park. Can't wait to try some other pies from Papagallos!
