“Atmosphere is great (intimate) awesome for a date night. Cocktail drink menu is very appealing and they have some pretty delicious mixed drinks. Food menu is limited which can be good when everything takes delicious however it wasn't the case unfortunately for us. The Bison pasta dish was amazing, full of flavor and very tasty (my partner basically cleaned the plate). However the red snaper wasn't at all on the same level. Missing a lot of seasoning and needs some acidity to it (just a suggestion). Also not as pictured on Google. Seemed to be missing some ingredients, not sure what happened. The manager was kind enough to accommodate and our waitress was very friendly. We'd definitely go back and give it another try.”

“Recently visited David Burke’s in Belmar for the second time & brought friends this time, since the first experience was very good. However, this experience didn’t turn out as good. Girlfriend bought the lobster roll, & at $26.00 all she received was 3 little pieces of lobster , & all bread. She actually left the restaurant still hungry! If you’re going to charge that much for basically a sandwich, at least fill it! So, your customers don’t leave hungry. On a bright note our waitress Tara was extremely nice, courteous, & accommodating .”

“We went as a party of 6 on the day after their grand opening. We enjoyed the food, somethings just need a little tweaking here and there as far as spices and seasonings. Ox tail could use a little sauce to flavor the rice that comes along with it. Same with the chicken, maybe offer a gravy on the side. I would have honestly given them 5 stars had our service been better. Our dishes just came out separately 1 by 1. At one point 4 of us were eating and half way done before the other 2 got served. In addition, some of us didn't get our sides right away. The worst was the mashed potatoes, they didn't get to our table until an hour after our meals. We were told it's because they're made of scratch and that's why they take so long. Either way, it's their second day during the pandemic. We're planning on giving it another try. Hopefully next time they'll have things more prepared on time so everyone can enjoy their meals together.”

“Joe's Surf Shack is a very fun local place with really good food and a great selection of bottled and draft beer. They often have bands in the evening or a DJ. They usually have sports on the many televisions around the bar. Since it's very close it's quickly becoming the local watering hole for our neighbors and friends. They did a great job renovating when the new owners took over”
