“If you can get past the rough and rowdy neighborhood, and Overlook that. Crown Fried Chicken really is a good place, when it comes to food. you just have to be ready for the abrasiveness that is all around you, you just have to get in, and order your food. Take your food pay for it and leave, then go home and eat your food and realize how good it is. That's basically the Crown Fried routine, at least in this location. I don't eat here that often because the food will make you gain 10 lb in one bite, but it's worth it every so often on a special occasion.”

“Been coming here for years! My family and I usually get the chicken or rib bandeja ( rice, beans, fries, choice of meat). Perfectly serves 4 people. The meat is BBQ style but is not seasoned. So you only get the smokey bbq taste from the grill. I'd give it 4 stars if they seasoned it. But over all not that bad. The fries can sometimes be a hit or miss depending on how busy they get. They're usually over or under fried. Either way, I'll always come back and order. I just add seasonings when I get home lol.”

“Wonderful place for Oaxacan cuisine! We have enjoyed 4 meals at Los Papagallos, and have never been disappointed. Everything is very fresh with an extensive menu and attentive service. Potions are large, and all dishes are prepared in the adjacent kitchen, so you can watch the whole process from your table. The only reason for taking away one star is that the ambiance is a bit limited compared to some other places. But I tend to find that the fancier places tend to be overpriced, or seem to put less time and energy into the food. Overall this is a wonderful place, and you could always do takeout if you prefer to eat at home. A real treasure right near the overpriced and much less authentic Pier Village. Try it out!!!”

“Nice cozy spot. Cute decor. I love the fact that the ribs came out in a sizzling grill. (I wish I asked what kind of oil they used to create the sizzle because liquid oil should not be used for cooking, much less high heat as was the case) The bbq grill offered delicious pork ribs but the beef ribs were chewy and nearly meatless. The meal was served with an obscene amount of rice and a tiny bowl of black beans. Its byob and you can find a liquor store at the other end of the shoping center.”

“I've been lucky enough to have some great tapas over the years, and this place doesn't quite live up to it. if you're not accustomed to tapas and you ARE accustomed to spending money, you'll do fine here. for 3 people it was around $40 a person without any of us drinking anything besides water. the cheese on the mixto board felt waxy and almost cheap. we ordered drunken goat cheese, which is described as soaked in red wine, but we did not taste any of that. it was cut into thin triangular slices which made me feel like I was eating cold cut cheese slices. the food is not bad, it's just not worth quite what they charge.”
