“This restaurant has a major fan base, a great little breakfast eatery with lots of comfort cooking. We indulged in challah French toast, homemade corned beef hash with all the jazz (poach eggs, asparagus, swiss cheese, biscuit) and their crumb cake, fresh squeezed juice. The corned beef hash is a star on the menu and definitely a dish that is memorable. They are very attentive to tables and the server we had was friendly -- and on top of the breakfast blitz. Of all that we experienced, I'd probably skip the crumb cake in the future.”

“Same quickcheck as always this one has a gas station. There's another quick check literally right up the road but on the opposite side less than 5 minutes away. I waited 5 minutes from the time of ordering to receive my red bull infusion drink. there were 2 workers working The food prepping stations and only one other order in front of me but the other worker was rolling up packets of eggs instead of helping to get my order done faster.”

“This has got to be the happiest Starbucks in the country. Your greeted with a big "Welcome to Starbucks " as soon as you walk thru the door. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They will craft your drink however you want it and with a smile. This is also the first Starbucks in this area so I hope they're around for a long time. Keep up the good work! 👍🏼”

“I have so many great things to say about Atlantic bagel. My daughter is 6 and likes to place her order by herself and the team is so accommodating. They always say hi to her, ask her how her day is going, and listen as she asks for her egg bagel. This may seem like a small thing but my daughter eats her bacon floppy and I like mine extra crispy and they always accommodate our request. All of the women who work the front are so nice and friendly and it’s a great way to start our day. The food is affordable and yummy but the amazing service is what keeps us coming back.”

The chicken and waffles were very tasty and I got it with a side of “ hot syrup”. I enjoy hot honey and though this was tasty something about it wasn’t great with this meal though I’m sure most will like it. Typically I’m in single origin for over kind a guy with no added milk or sugars. So one of the signature latte is more like a dessert for me but I’m here to support on day one and this one was very tasty. The bags of beans were roasted 4+ weeks ago which is not ideal to sell on opening but I will adjust my brew parameters to match. Glad to see more coffee and food options in Matawan. Must be the very kind girl behind the bar! She prepared me a very nice cappucino and served me the cake and coffee at the table. As I was impressed and a fan of bonbons and chocolate I decided to buy some. She explained me one for one what bonbons they sell. Of course I tried them at home...delicious!! VERY highly recommended. “"Watch Your Step," is the sign on the door. I should have heeded the warning. While watching my step and attempting to enter the store for the first time, my hand got caught in the makeshift door pull. Ouch! I'd been looking for a local place serving fresh Nova Lox. I found it! I thought $11 was a little expensive, but it was a really good bagel. Since then, I've been back three times. Perhaps because it was a little late in the morning (9AM), I found the bagels somewhat hard on the jaw. Service was pretty slow. I'll give them another try when I see a proper door pull. That might be a sign they a trying a little harder.”
