“Upon arrival, we sat outside and didn’t get quick attention of the waitress cos we saw she was busy. but the moment she had a chance, it was a blissful journey all the way to the empty plate we left on the table. We had to move inside to feel the coziness cos it was quite breezy outside. The food took a little to come out but I am glad we gave them a chance cos the moment the plate landed our table, we couldn’t stop eating. The lady who attended to us along with the other staff that came momentarily were so kind that we felt so at home. We ordered two of the crab omelettes and oh boy boy boy, it’s the best omelette we have ever tasted. Some people got up and left cos they felt the wait was too long but I feel that’s a mistake. Even if we had to wait an hour, I would still choose this place over and over again. Lovely. I can’t say enough of that.”

“Hands-down, I finally found one of the best bagel places in North Jersey. The bagels are soft, fresh and literally taste like New York City bagels! I always get bacon egg and cheese on a black Russian bagel with salt pepper and hot sauce and it has become my new staple once a week. A little greasy but if you ask for it to be a little crispy that fixes the grease problem easily!! The wings are absolutely delicious, as well as their garlic knots. “We went here to see what all the hype is about. Unfortunately, we came here on Saturday night, bad mistake. It was very, very crowded. So, we ended up ordering out, which wasn't much faster. When we finally got the pizza, it was piping hot. The thin crust pizza was excellent, and very tasty. I will have to try the deep dish next time. I must say, the atmosphere is very interesting for a pizza joint, almost bar/club like. The place is small, dark, and very loud. Parking is very difficult, forget about it. I will definitely try to dine in again on a weekday.”

“This is New Jersey, so pizza is a big deal. Pappagallos is a welcome addition to beautiful Highland Park in my opinion. I ordered a Margherita pie ?. The sauce was noteworthy. It was delicious, mildly sweet and tart. Awesome. The cheese was fresh and melted nicely and the basil was green and tasty. The crust was decidedly chewy and nicely strong, no floppy pizza here. My only gripes are that the crust could have been a little crisper and perhaps less doughy, however make no mistake this was an overall solid slice, one of the better ones around and by far the best in Highland Park. Can't wait to try some other pies from Papagallos!”
