Dion's

I live within walking distance of the Morris location but I will gladly drive out of my way to visit this location! The staff is always working their hardest to ensure timely service. When the drive thru is busy there is always someone literally running back and forth from the restaurant to the cars. Unlike Morris, their phone line is never busy, and is answered within 4 rings max. I wish this manager would help out at Morris, they need all the help they can get.

Great food, outstanding pizza. They were able to accommodate a bigger group, and the staff were very friendly! I would recommend it!

Dion's is a good, cheap, and reliable place to get a pizza, salad, and/or sub sandwich. That's probably why the locally owned chain has always done so well in the greater Northern New Mexican area. This location on Academy is usually my go-to spot as it has the closet proximity to my apartment.
I'm lucky that it is too, as this Dion's has a lot it to be given credit for. Whether it's the restaurant's friendly service, cleanliness, large size, plentiful seating, quick service, and scenic view(s). Dion's on Academy is no doubt one of the top standard bearers within the chain.
Upon my most recent visit during the late-night hours; I found myself in the mood for a large ham and cheese sub. I placed my order and after about ten minutes my name was called over the intercom. Despite having said to the cashier that I intended to dine-in, my meal had been prepared to-go.
No harm done, however, as it was a simple mistake that ended working out in my favor as I just took the second-half home for later. The sandwich itself was jammed packed full of meat and cheese and the kitchen was generous (as usual) when it came to my side order of chips.
An overall pleasant late-night diner and I owe the fine people at Dion's on Academy for making it happen. This particular area of town isn't too abundant in restaurant options, so keep this place in mind if looking for a satisfying bite without breaking the bank.

Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean. My pizza was good, but I always LOVE the salad. Can't get enough.

First of all, the pizza was fantastic. Tons of toppings on the pizza. Great pizza crust. Yum. Now, as a first time customer, I was a little confused about how I was going to get my pizza, until I asked and found out they were going to call my name and I would come up and get it.
So, still 5 stars because the pizza was so tasty... I just would rather not bus my own table like at a fast food place... don’t ask the patrons to throw away their trash... and go ahead and take their pizza to them. Just a thought.
