Tasty Pot

I absolutely love everything about this place. The vibe, people and A1 food. Food was served by a sweet Robot and amazing crew. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who likes varieties of hotpot or any other east asian foods. Check their menu and Enjoy the food. Photos for reference what I mean.

Tasty pot is a new Taiwanese hot pot place in Albuquerque. Considering we have 2 hot pot places and this is the more authentic of the flavors of Chinese hot pot I rated the food as three star.
Why?
Because although the food is alright, the broth is a tad bit salty and all side dishes came in these little fry baskets for tiny portions for $3-5 per extra. Not only that, the pots are in these little pot inside these baskets that require constant ethanol refill to keep hot which is a pain in the butt. Finally, though it tastes alright it’s rather expensive as five adults for hot pot with milk tea was $180 (food was 150 + tips).

Service wise, they were very nice but the inconvenience of the pots along with the ten million little fry baskets, sauces that you have to ask for, refills of broth that you have to ask for and everything else we probably tortured our servers much more than I wanted to.

Atmosphere-wise, we went on a holiday so it was busy but there’s no air conditioning plus it’s hot pot so it feels a little warm inside the restaurant.

Delicious food with a very hip vibe. The items in the spicy lamb hot pot are quite traditional in that they align with what I eat at home. I thought the food was fresh and the flavoring was decent.

There is a little robot which brings drinks which I thought was both cute and scary at the same time. The human servers were attentive and prompt. The only drawback was I think the food is a bit on the expensive side, especially if you want add-ons.

This, like most other hotpots, are best enjoyed if you're a meat eater/pescetarian as vegetarian options are limited to one main dish, or the appetizers as of June 2023.

Great Taiwanese place! The hotpot comes pre-made and cooked so you don’t need to spend a lot of time on that. They have different pots you can chose from. We got the Thai flavor and the Kimchi flavor. Very flavorful and tasty. Food portions are great, almost too much to finish. Overall, great service and experience!
