Lucky Bull Grill

Okay, so .... anyone who follows me knows that I am always on a quest for the world's greatest steak. I found one of the top 3 RIGHT HERE in Carlsbad NM! (The ither 2 are in Fairbanks AK and Tucson AZ.) The 12-ounce ribeye was cooked absolutely perfectly 🥰 and was so so so delicious. (I had told my husband that I would save half of it for later, but it was so delicious that I ate it all, and without any sauce at all. It was that perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!) I also had some fried okra, which was delicious, too, but that steak will be forever etched in mind and heart. My husband loved his Big Blue Burger (blue cheese and bacon) and fried mushrooms, too! We got there around 4 PM , and there was no wait. Our serving person was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is very casual. We will definitely be back at the Lucky Bull!!

Passing through the Carlsbad, we decided to try Lucky Bull Grill for lunch. My husband chose the Chicken Fajita Nachos and I had The Big Blue. We complimented our dishes with a couple beers. Everything was tasty and the service was excellent. Thank you, Lucky Bull Grill!

We stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday after touring the caves. Glad we got there early at 5:30pm as by 6:15pm they were seating people upstairs at the bar.

The waiter was very attentive. My wife and I split the lucky bull burger since we planned on having ice cream afterwards. The waiter was kind enough to bring a big knife to cut the burger and an extra plate. Delicious and the slices of bacon on the burger were thick. We choose the green chili grits for the side and it was spicy and creamy.

They have a small but good selection of draft beers. My wife enjoyed the pecan ale, especially it's aroma.

I don't understand the few negative reviews except maybe the price of the steak but that's the going rate these days due to inflation. There was adequate wait staff at our visit. We enjoyed the meal and definitely recommend you give it a try but arrive early.

Great experience! The food was delicious and our waitress was so sweet. The establishment is small inside (felt cramped in amongst the other tables and patrons), but that was definitely overshadowed by how great the food and service were. My husband said his burger and cherry beer were one of the best he had had, and my chicken fry and mashed potatoes were perfect!!
AND the price was amazing!!

OMG! This was our second choice because the first was closed...boy am I glad! Visiting here from Florida and wanted a steak. Kamilah our server was great, and made great recommendations. We started with the signature poutin appetizer with white gravy as recommended. 🥰 delicious. Got the full order and killed it, it was so good. We split a big ribeye NM style, with a side of green chili grits. Wow! The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was so full of flavor. Best steak we have had in a long time and let's not forget the green chili grits. They are a must try. Taking home leftovers (due to the poutin). was looking forward to having them for breakfast but now I see they also serve breakfast so, hmmm. Decisions! Don't hesitate to eat here.
