The Trinity Hotel & Restaurant

I actually had to cancel my reservation and the nice front desk clerk told me I had actually booked for the night before (which was not my intention!) He volunteered to refund my credit card. I was shocked and delighted. Now I can't wait to actually stay there! What great service!

My husband and I spent one night for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed it. Beautiful room. We had the king-sized bed and double shower. Had a great dinner. Wonderful service. Going back for breakfast. This is worth the price.

I stopped in to lunch here for a business meeting. One of the other people in the meeting selected the restaurant and talked highly of it.

We were a party of 6, and without a reservation we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. That’s okay, I understand it is busy and we didn’t get a reservation.

Service was ok. We were ready to order once we were seated because of our time in the waiting room. We provided our order and then waited. My dish came out AFTER 3 people had finished their meals. The serve just said, “sorry, I don’t know what happened”….

I had the Lawman, it was good. Other folks had enchiladas (they said that they were not impressed) and someone had the salmon (which looked delicious and that person said it was great).

The setup and decor of the restaurant was nice and they’ve worked hard to make it look nice and be a fun place.

I was only in Carlsbad for a couple of days, and may visit Carlsbad again in the near future, but I wouldn’t request to return to Trinity Hotel and Restaurant.

The Trinity gave out free dinners on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The people are just wonderful! Friendly, kind & attentive! Such a warm and welcoming place. There is so much heart here for people. They believe in giving back & it sure shows. These lovely people worked so hard & it was really busy. Yet everyone had a smile on their face & they rolled & laughed amongst the glitches. I was able to set back and watch for a little while & it was truly inspiring. The food was delicious. Thank you so much, everyone at the Trinity. You are such a blessing! ❤️

My dad and I had a great stay at the Trinity this past weekend! I think a lot of the negative reviews about this hotel fail to take a lot of factors into consideration, specifically the age of the building, size, and location. This is NOT your "normal" hotel. This is not a Holiday Inn. It has maybe ten guest rooms, all of which are unique, and the building also houses a very popular high-end restaurant in the heart of Carlsbad. This hotel has SO MUCH CHARACTER, so much history and it has been renovated beautifully! It can be a bit noisy at night due to the dinner crowd and the location (i.e. traffic); I stayed in room 204 which is directly above the restaurant and could hear the dinner crowd pretty clearly, but it did not bother me, and I had no trouble sleeping with some ear plugs (provided by the hotel). The food was fantastic, a few of the waitresses (especially Sunny!) were just wonderful, the owner was kind, and it was truly a great experience. Next time, I'll stay in Room 206 and see if Ruby comes to visit!
