Today was my first visit to the Bent Street Grille. I have been to the Bent Street Deli many times over the years and found the changes in menu and layout to be good overall.
Over medium eggs, potatoes, dry rye toast, green chili sauce and coffee for me plus one of Deb’s pancakes. She had pancakes with blackberries and strawberries and a side of two O/M eggs and decaf coffee. Everything was quite tasty. The green chili sauce was a little thin for my taste but tasted very good and produced a slight nose run, an important aspect of spicy food.
The staff were all pleasant and attentive. The new layout seems more spacious and easier to navigate. The patio is quite nice, too.
We sat out on the patio and it was very pleasant setting in the trendy shopping area of Taos. My salad was delicious and my husbands was good but the fries came after dinner. The manager was nice and comped my husband’s lunch and explained that the pilot light was out. So that was a good customer service save.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a break from New Mexican food and we tried this restaurant this afternoon for lunch. The food- very impressed with the lunch menu selections of healthy options. I personally had the California sandwich with a cup of fruit and it was good. The pickle could of been bigger but it still did the job. Good and prompted service. Nice outdoor seating area for people watching and enjoying the warm weather. We did have a 20 minute wait for the kitchen but it was worth it. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch in Taos.
Stopped here on my way driving from Santa Fe to Denver. The food was great. We had a chicken salad and a turkey sandwich and both were outstanding. The bonus was the very talented singer/guitar player who was performing during our meal. She was great…I only wish I had more cash to tip her.
Interesting choices on the menu, salads and sandwiches to choose from..
I ordered the Greek Salad which included romaine lettuce, feta cheese, multiple types of olives, marinated cucumbers which had a strong vinegar flavor, marinated red onion and dressing with toasted pita. Not too bad.
My partner ordered the Pita with hummus, salad greens, olives, red onions and tomato.
My sister ordered the berry turkey sandwich and enjoyed all the flavors.
Service was fine.
