First time trying them out and we'll definitely be back.
BBQ brisket and pulled pork were tasty and tender. Fried okra cooked to perfection. Mac and cheese nice and cheesy.
Hidden jewel in Clayton.
Put his one on your list to try
We were the only ones there but it was great. Need to get awareness up so more people can experience the deliciousness. Everyone that tried the macaroni and cheese said it was the best they've ever had. The honey butter was awesome. If the rolls had been better we'd give 5 Stars!
****We love Ketchup 😁
Gave this place a try tonight and I'm glad we did! The server Benjamin was so friendly and kind to us. The food looked amazing when it came out and tasted awesome. They have a bunch of sauces you can try and they have sweet tea. Definitely a great spot in Clayton.
This place is a no frills BBQ joint with a lovely southwest charm but what they do they do very, very well. If you are looking for a family friendly meal with excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly waitstaff then Santa Fe Trail Cafe should be a scheduled stop on your road trip. The locals here have a real gem on there hands. Serving from 630am to 9pm this should be your destination! Be sure to ask for the warm rolls with cinnamon butter, and good luck picking up the baby back ribs... every bone came away clean!
Sweet Tea is on the menu. The waiter was the best waiter, great with kids. Great BBQ w/ hickory sauce and the hamburger steak was just as great. They served an actual salad with all the veggies that should be in a salad and it was fresh. For an appetizer we enjoyed the Fried pickles and the families favorite cheese fries with brisket which was amazing. The rolls with butter/cinnamon was enough to call desert. Thank you guys for a great meal, keep it up! Texas☆
