“Our family came on a visit from D.C. and we went there every day for breakfast. Not only was the food ridiculously delicious but the atmosphere had such character- cozy & well-decorated a lot of books in French to peruse- I only wish it were open 24 hours..I was inspired to write & could have curled up & stayed all night. The best part- the staff was SO friendly & remembered our names & orders. You don't have to be a Francophile to love this hidden gem. Shout out to Bill for being so genuinely friendly & offer a lot of recommendations for local attractions. Thank you French Press!”

“All the appetizers and small plates were so tasty that I almost wasn't hungry for my main dish... That being said, I ate all 22oz of the cowboy steak because it was that good. Obviously expensive, but worth it if you're a steak lover.”

“Olde English is a great place. Service is fast and prompt but not intrusive or over bearing. The food is fantastic. A diverse menu with a diverse choice of food and beverages. Our party enjoyed the fare and give the Olde English a 5 star rating. Will definitely return. We suggest you give The Olde English Pub and Pantry a go when in Albany, NY.”

“I love this place so much. Albany has a great, ever-expanding scene of craft breweries and gastro pub restaurants but this was one of the originals. Their in-house brewed beer is award winning and exceptional. They offer flights of beer if you want to try a little of everything and also sell refillable growlers. The building is historic and absolutely gorgeous- brick walls and high ceilings, vats of brewing beer behind glass rooms, warm lighting and a view of the kitchen. Their food is amazing every single time, especially their burgers. This place is very popular and located near the Palace Theatre and the downtown area so IT FILLS UP FAST. There's always a wait for dinnertime, and if there's a show at the Palace forget about it. Early dinners or weekend lunches are usually the least crowded times. It also closes at 11, but luckily there's plenty of other bars within walking distance that are open well into the wee hours. This place is one of a kind... a must-stop visit if you're sampling beer and food in Albany.”

“Been loving Eggy's food for sometime. Under $10 for a full and happy belly. Whether for a burger, dogs or a lunch special which I suggest...my go to is the Italian beef with homemade garlic mayo. The shizz! One could only find this place if told where to look...so let me tell you! Head on 787 toward the capital buildings and take your first exit to Colonie St. Head straight til you have to turn and there's a small sign pointing right. Take a right and you're there. Enjoy!”

“Had a great time here! The bartender Rhiannon made us feel right at home. We tried almost all the beers and they were all super quality! Make sure to get the Galaxy hops and the DIPA. Cool venue, it’s one big open room, with the brewery visible in the back. Kid friendly, pet friendly, seemed like all the locals were in and out. Tv was on to a baseball game, which was nice. The flagship Fort Orange IPA was a little underwhelming. Check out the ‘Beer It Forward’ Initiative. Will definitely stop here again on my way through the area.”

“Oh how I love this place. The burgers are fantastic. First time there I got a burger. When I opened the container I was like "Wow!" The burger is HUGE & has flavor that pops in the mouth. Go check them out!”

“Another Friday lunch adventure. Always try something different. This was a good choice. Atmosphere was eclectic. But good was great. I had the spicy noodle ramen. Just enough kick to be spicy but not a lot of heat. Definitely come back again”

“I'll start by saying that the pizza is pretty good, but its small and extremely thin. Usually for slices, you get a nice big slice from a 20" pie. Their slice pies look like either 16" or 18". They also have no thickness to them. This is my third time trying them and the pizza has been consistent. If the slices were bigger, they would be a 5 star, but still good enough to grab a slice in a pinch.”

“A beautiful place. Love the seasonal dine in or out. A great mix of styles for seating. Menu has a nice variety. Would like more salad options (just a me thing, I'm sure). Many cool features to the place. Staff is amazing. Attentive and fun. May be my new favorite spot. Cheers!”

“The food was really good. Beer cheese dip and the Pig Mac burger. There were 11 beers on tap and one in the bottle. Nothing really screamed that it was the best beer ever, but all of them were good. Service was tremendous. Very lively and fun atmosphere.”

“So happy that Emanuel is back, what a great bartender! This is a really great spot for live jazz (no cover charge), unique drinks (or get the usual stuff) and a terrific 1920/30s atmosphere. Always a favorite spot. Mixed crowd of young to older folks, usually a bit more dressed up than what you find at the usual bar. I suggest making a reservation as it can be a challenge to get seats Fri Sat. Small and quaint. Great bar and cozy atmosphere. Food choices as well. You’ve got City Beer Hall upstairs if you need a more lively atmosphere and a free small pizza with every drink, not a bad deal. Tends to be a younger crowd the later you go with a very casual picnic table style atmosphere that’s gotten so popular. Same owner upstairs and down. Enjoy!!”

“100% fantastic food! Dont listen to the other few bad reviews.....I have been comming here with my daughter for 6 year.... I have never had a bad meal here EVER! There was one occasion when a couple of my scallops we're not cooked all the way and I had to send it back and they made me a complete brand new order. The food is unbelievable and you are going to wait a little bit for your food because everything is made to order. This is not like going into Applebee's or something and your food comes out in 10 minutes. The Reef and Beef is phenomenal!”
