“For those who are unitiated in Jamaican cuisine, know that they cook everything on the done and chop it up with the bones still inside. This means when you eat you will be encountering bone shards, but as long as you are expecting it, this shouldn't be an issue. The food was wonderfully seasoned, expertly cooked, and generously portioned for the price. The selection isn't the widest, but everything on the menu is guaranteed to taste great and fill you up. “We love this place! We decided to eat at the bar and the bartender / server, Kara, is so friendly! You feel right at home. We love white pizza and Parlour’s did not disappoint. The crust is soft, but this doesn’t diminish from the flavor packed into the topping; rather, it’s a good complement. They have nice options on tap, including Fireball in chilled glasses. I opted for the local Roscoe Stout and Beacon IPA and they were delicious. Parlour’s location may not be in the most appealing spot, but the food, service, and ambience make it stand out as a wonderful place for a good meal or a good spot to relax. We will definitely come here again!”

“My fiance and I went here for a "date night" and the atmosphere and service were amazing. The food was great and the service was excellent. We tried some buffalo parmesan garlic wings that were pretty tasty. I had a Reuben which was a little different than a normal Reuben but still tasted amazing. She had a burger with avocado and she absolutely loved it. We will definitely be returning in the near future.”

“There's a lot of Chinese food in the world. Very little of it is good, sadly. Being from NYC, we see so much take out and so much of it is just terrible. Chicken entrees that are mostly water chestnuts and baby corns and shredded bamboo shoots. It gets old, fast. The worst is thick doughy "dumplings" that use dumpling wraps that are 1/4 inch thick. Chans is nothing like that. I've been there 2-3 times, and have been continuously impressed: dumplings that I believe are home made (ask for those special), with thin tasty wrappings; a sesame chicken that was white meat, a meaningful portion, over broccoli perfectly green not over cooked. and with a light tasty batter. It's great to know this place exists when I visit Poughkeepsie. I always make it there. Keep up the great work!”

“Big portions ,good food,however the waitress service was horrible,soups came to the table spilled into the plates,brought the wrong kind for my husband,took us 10 minutes just to get her back to the table,I believe she forgot about us and left appetizer, soup,salad dishes on table with dinner plates,no refills,she was dozing off behind the counter twice that we saw, mind you there were a total of 3 tables occupied including us so it wasnt busy,if the host wouldn't have came around we would have been sitting there waiting to clear dishes and receive a bill. “We eat at Madison's and get take out often. We are never disappointed. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food is very reasonably priced. Their menu offers the usual pizza place fare but what makes Madison' stand out is their food is delicious, fresh and not greasy. When you call for pick up, my order is always ready when I arrive. Never had to wait. The Family Size portions are very generous. The menu says these portions serve 4 but it is more like 6 for most normal appetites. We recently hosted a catered party there which was held in their private room. More than 35 people attended. The room was bright and clean. All guests were comfortably seated including some high chairs. The service was friendly, professional , prompt and accommodating. Nearly all our guests commented about how good the food was.”

“Beijing Chef is a Pleasant Valley staple of sorts. Dinner time is very busy, tonight's take out took 45 minutes to pick up. I won't say that is normal but happens from time to time. Food is always decent, sometimes great sometimes OK. I'd call them a traditional local town chinese food restaurant. There is some seating here but don't expect wait staff and what not.”

The garlic knots were out of this world and mozzarella sticks were the best l ever had . If you want a delicious lunch or Dinner . Don't hesitate stopping by this place and the price is just right. oh yes coffee and desserts I did not have a desert but they were looking awfully good in the refrigeration case when you walk in . I don't normally drink black coffee but I did want to taste the coffee specially at 6:30 at night to see what it was like and it was it perfect and fresh. I highly recommend that you stopped by his place even if it takes you a half an hour to get there well worth it A+++”
