Finally had a chance to order food here, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the rice bowl (jerk) and the portion was huge. The jerk chicken is very spicy, and the mango salsa topping complimented the dish. My wife ordered the crab cakes(comes with 2). Crab cakes was ok, they would've been out of this world if it had more crab than stuffing. But the sauce was great. Next was the tacos (3), she had chicken (jerk), shrimp, and steak. All was very good and packed with filling. You can't go wrong when you use real corn tortilla shells. In all great place to get real food, when you don't want fast food.
Excellent tasty food made fast. An oasis in downtown Buffalo
Food is always prepared super fast and right in front of you. They offer some basics, and some amazing unique options. And they're always willing to customize anything for you. I can't believe it's just a little stand with the way the food tastes. Highly recommend.
It's a tiny stand in a building, but man, they are slinging out some good food! You can smell the yumminess the moment you open the building door.
Great food and extremely reasonable prices. He does a nice jerk seasoning, and it's a place every employee downtown should check out, especially if they're hoofing it to the Ellicott Square Building. It's right across the street!
His crab cakes are out of this world, his Rice Bowls with jerk chicken or shrimp... wow!
His chili is also fantastic, and to be able to add on a grilled cheese sandwich for $1 is simply top notch.
You get to watch the food bring prepped, and unlike some places, he takes cash and credit. I haven't been for breakfast sandwiches yet, but I heard they are phenomenal, and I don't have a single doubt about it.
Since it's just a part of the NYS Labor Department building, don't go in expecting a place to sit. You've got enough room to order and wait, but the food is SO worth taking back to your desk.
Great food, prepared quickly and right in front of you. Pete has traditional breakfast and lunch items like eggs/bacon/toast and burgers, but is always adding new and creative dishes to his menu, like his chicken bowl - rice, queso fresco, micro greens, tender spicy chicken thighs and... get this... MANGO salsa. It is so good. Pete is laid back and interesting to listen to. You can tell he puts a lot of effort into his culinary creations but also the atmosphere, which is hard in an office building. Fast, fairly priced and delicious.
