“Quietly becoming the best spot for a real deli sandwich. Over the past couple years I prefer Marcos over Joe's Deli which is just a few blocks away. “The hostess was great and our server never came to take our order. The hostess stepped in and got us straight. Sadly, the server never came and the hostess did everything. She was so nice and polite. We did wait for a while before we got our food but it was still good.. Saturday night's are too busy if you're looking for great service. Other than that, the food was good and the hostess had an awesome attitude under pressure! Next time I would rethink going there on a Saturday night. The restaurant gets 3 stars but I give the hostess 10 stars!!!!”

“We absolutely love the Delaware Ave shop. It's always a pleasing experience to shop at your store. The meats are just plain delicious. Must try the beef, so tender and expertly cut and trimmed. Tastes like a true Hereford should. But please don't forget about their chicken and pork, which is very very good and high quality. Nothing like any supermarket in the area. We have also tried the haddock, also wonderful. The Boars Head cold cuts are also very good. The whole store is just a great experience. Can't sign off without giving the staff a standing ovation. “Could not speak more highly about the food, service, and experience my family and I had at our most recent visit. The chef came out to speak with us about the food and he was wonderful and made such amazingly delicious food. The lady at the front who greeted us was very friendly and took the time to talk to us. We also learned that they donated food to the Coast Guard during the government shut down to help the families that weren’t getting paid. This was the most delicious Indian food we have had yet and I look forward to going back many times! Anybody who has written a nasty review are clearly some of those people that aren’t able to be pleased no matter the circumstance. I’d give Jewel of India 10 stars if I could!!!”
