“Awesome experience all the way around! First order today, picked up during Chandler street market hours. Already sampled these, looking forward to this coming week's lunches... this saves tons of time figuring out meal plans, is totally delicious and well-balanced, and is so worth it in terms of taking uncertainty (when, where, what, etc) out of the lunch hour! Support local small business like this, love this food service model!!”

“Ordered the Hot Hen Sandwich with no slaw, with HOT heat level…it was enormous, probably weighs a pound, the chicken was juicy and the breading was spiced perfectly hot with great flavor! Sauce is delicious, bun is super fresh. Side of fries is huge as well, crinkle cut with a little pepper. Get you one of these ASAP.”

“Clean & fun sports bar with exceptional wings. We sat at the bar with Jackie and she ensured we had the best time with drinks and fun! Definitely a must go to in Buffalo. Also the GM seems a little grumpy cat (ha), but made sure everyone was having the best of times. Cold bevy cheers to all at Sidelines!”

“Unsatisfied. I ordered a cheese burger and i had to wait a while for the smallest burger i’ve seen. for a burger that cost $5.50 plus tax, i’d expect a decent size burger. This burger tasted like every other homemade burgers. worker did not take my order correctly. There was missing toppings on some of the burgers. The burger did taste alright. Not the best Not the worst. 🤷🏿♂️🤝🏿”

“We had fuska, chotpoti, fries and a deshi burger. Everything tasted good except the fuska I think could've been a little more crispy. Deshi burger was great and the chotpoti was good as well. The quantity is good and price is very reasonable.”

“This morning I went through the drive-thru and ordered a bagel with lightly spread of strawberry cream cheese and one bottle of orange juice. When I finally received the order and drove off, I saw they gave me a bagel with a whole lot of plain cream cheese. I immediately turned around and went back to the restaurant and parked my car and took the bagel into the restaurant. It took a while for me to be waited on. I explained to the female employee that what I was given was not what I ordered. She then went to make a new bagel. Approximately 5 minutes later, she brings out the second bagel. When I checked the bagel it again had plain cream cheese on it. I called over the employee again and explained that the bagel had plain cream cheese when I asked for strawberry. She took the bagel and went back to make a third bagel. It was then, another female employee started making excuses why the order kept being wrong. She was trying to justify the wrong orders being due to all the orders coming in through her headphones and that was the cause of the order being delivered incorrectly. I looked at her in astonishment as she continued to go on why the delivery of the incorrect orders was justified. After a minute of listening to her, I turned around and proceeded to leave with my hands up in the air with frustration. I left without receiving the third try of the bagel order. I ended up paying 5.14 for a bottle of orange juice. Today was the last time of me going to that restaurant for at least six months , if not longer. Poor customer service and employees not focusing. Many of the employees were more into talking with one another or being on the phone and not focusing on their primary responsibility. AN UPDATE TO THE ORIGINAL POST I did receive an email from Tim Horton's asking that I call them an explain the issue which I did. I then had a follow-up call from a representative from Tim Horton's which was very much appreciated.”

“I'm so excited, The City of Buffalo has a new upscale Japanese restaurant on Hertel! The food at Taisho Hertel is fantastic, and the presentation of everything we ordered was very impressive. We found the atmosphere and service to be a bit disjointed. Upon walking in, it was great to see they kept the historic Buffalo mural up behind the bar (although the host had no idea of when it was from or where it was taken) I had to look it up to find it was from the 1901 Buffalo Labor Day Parade on Main Street-very cool! The restaurant and bar have great potential, but the complete lack of any music left it feeling lifeless. We had no idea who our waiter was the entire evening. They attempted to bring other table's orders over to us a few times. The service wasn't bad. It was just confusing. You could tell they were trying. We would also love to see some more drink options to stay competitive with the restaurant bars on Hertel. Aside from their specialty drink menu, their options are very limited. Our reservation was for 6 pm on Saturday. We were lucky to find a parking spot right out front (it seems only street parking is available). They seated us promptly when we arrived, which was much appreciated. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening! With a little fine tuning, Taisho Hertel could easily be in the running as one of the best sushi restaurants in the city!”

“Went for Sunday brunch and overall enjoyed the meal and general vibe of the space. I ordered the breakfast burrito which came with home fries (though they were actually tots, haha) and my friend did the double stack cheeseburger with fries. we also ordered the bacon nubs for the table. So just to get it out of the way they messed up our order and forgot to sub fries instead of the chips and we didn’t get our order of bacon nubs once the food came out. They were supposed to be the appetizer, but they weren’t dropped at all for us. We told our server who apologized and immediately brought out an order bacon nubs and the fries for us without charging us for them. Back to the food, the breakfast burrito with delicious and the tots were just kind of crispy I like. I also took a bite of my friends burger and it was really good as well. Though we didn’t want the chips they weren’t bad but the fries were definitely better, imo. We also got the mimosa carafe ($12) which was perfect for the two of us, though I was tempted to try a couple of the Brunch cocktails they offered. Despite the ordering snafu, we did enjoy our time there and played a couple of games of skeeball after our meal before leaving.”
