I had chicken katsudon with miso soup and was really impressed with the presentation of the food and how fresh it was. Of course it was yummy! Was pleasantly surprised it included daikon root, sauteed onions, and raw broccoli and brussel sprouts (everything tasted good in the dipping sauce). In a lot of ways this is a very traditional Japanese restaurant from the hot hand towels at the beginning of the meal to how we were not rushed out at the end. Even the bathroom was nice. We'll be returning!
Yum yum yum! I reserved a spot at this restaurant on OpenTable a few days before. We showed up and were promptly seated. I ordered the unagi don and my friends got the sushi dinner. Everything was delicious and fresh. Would come here again ????????
Arrived a few minutes earlier than opening time. Greeted greatly anyways. Service and food were great!
This was one of my favorite dining experiences to date in NY. We did the Omakase, and the fish was incredibly fresh with unique and delightful garnishes. Ryan (who I believe owns the place) took wonderful care of us and provided background on where the fish was coming from and how it was prepared. For a “nicer” dinner around the $80 range, this was as good as I’ve had.
Very delicious sushi and friendly staff. We could see that the sushi chefs actually enjoyed their work. It was above our expectation. One tiny tiny concern is that some of the sushi were matched with a bit too much of other yummy ingredients (eg. Black truffle) which took away the taste of their fish. Either way, we will be back again.
